Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
I use Veeam to protect my company's Servers and Workstations. I make a daily backup of everything and am able to recover lost data thanks to the incremental copy. I also make a copy of my 365 email with the Veeam utility for Microsoft 365. With some client equipment I have had to recover the entire system image on a new hard drive and everything without problem.
- Virtualized workloads
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
- NAS filers
- Immutable storage to protect against ransomware
- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)
- Immutable storage to protect against ransomware
Pros
- backup speed
- ease configuration
- successful data recoveries
Cons
- I don't like getting alerts that the copy failed and then seeing that it succeeded
- I would like it to be translated into Spanish
Do you think Veeam Data Platform delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Veeam Data Platform's feature set?
Yes
Did Veeam Data Platform live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Veeam Data Platform go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Veeam Data Platform again?
Yes
I currently have 2 workloads protected with the application and in anticipation of some more that it will support without problems. That it will work this well is what I expected since I had documented the application before its implementation.
- Having workers down for as little time as possible due to a problem with their equipment is a big plus.
- Not having to redo files already made due to a problem or mistake
- Peace of mind against ransomware
We decided to test this new software after a couple of failed recovery episodes with our previous software. When we tried it and saw how it worked, we decided to implement it and offer it to our clients.
Not completely yet but we are in the process of doing so.
Not yet but we are studying it
