Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

We use Veeam Data Platform to backup our entire VM environment. We have several Windows servers, and several Linux servers that are essential to keeping our business operating and our customers happy. We have several users who use Veeam Data Platform, all with different levels of experience. The restoration process is simple and easy to figure out.

Compared to some companies, we are small. We have a few physical hosts and there is approximately 40 VM's on them. We do have an old legacy physical server that we also use Veeam Data Platform to backup. When purchasing Veeam Data Platform, we anticipated using it to back up all of our servers. That number of servers has grown over the years since initially purchasing.
  • For the cost, it fits our needs and just works.
Prior to using Veeam Data Platform we were still using and old tape back up system, I know.....quite embarrassing! Moving to Veeam Data Platform was a huge leap forward for us, night and day difference. Needless to say, the most basic capabilities of Veeam Data Platform blew away anything we were doing with the old tapes.
We have not moved to the cloud, yet. Knowing that Veeam has the ability to work within a potential cloud environment is reassuring.
We have a fairly simple infrastructure, Veeam Data Platform works very well for our needs. I know there are a lot of higher end, more advanced features that we do not use. I like Veeam Data Platform because while it can do so much, it also works for the smaller, more simple use cases like ours.
