Easy to use monitoring, analytics and reporting for your IT enviroment

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam ONE

Our enviroment is mid sized with couple hundred servers. We have very little marigins for downtime.

We monitor our onpremise backup and virtual infrastructure with Veeam ONE. We get instant alerts when any problems arrise. We also use the reporting services of Veeam ONE to report to managemnt on critical aspects of our server enviroment.

Pros

Cons

  • We miss more detailed reporting on whole backup enviroment
  • Graphical map of the virtual infrastructure enviroment would be nice
  • We got better overall picture of our enviroment and could plan our investents on future upgrades better
  • We get information on possible sources of downtime ahead of time and can reduce downtime overall
The software is a joy to use. The user interface is good overall and you can find frequently needed things easily and quickly. Some less frequently needed things eg. settings are hidden under several menus and one might have to look for those for a while. We also haven't had any issues with the products reliability.
Veeam One is really easy to install and get working. Compared to some open source products that might need experties and time to get comfortable. Open source products are of course free on basic level, but we get Veeam One with our license of Veeam Backup & Replication which we need anyways. Plus side to compared to open source products we get professional support.

I would think Veeam One is suitable for smaller enviroments. It has good features to monitor and report on virtual enviroment and backups, but of course that is not ennough for physical enviroments, serverroms etc.
