Overall Satisfaction with VitusVet

Our hospital uses the two-way texting feature between our clients and our veterinary hospital. We can send payment links, share photo/pet updates and facilitate prescription refill requests. VitusVet addresses the challenges a busy hospital faces that helps to improve client engagement and streamline client and primary veterinarian communications.

Pros

  • Texting functionality, including two-way texting between clients and veterinary offices, appointment reminders, pet updates and photos and well as prescription refill requests.
  • Features like text-to-pay and Vitus Pay help to manage payments, along with improving compliance.
  • Easy to learn, making it accessible for both veterinary staff and pet owners. The app allows clients to view medical records and share them with other caretakers, which is highly valued.

Cons

  • It would be nice to have a wider variety of customization for appointment requests and messaging templates.
  • We have experienced a few glitches, with reminder systems and which has affected workflow.
  • The inability to price medications under $1 per unit has complicated dispensing of certain medications.
  • VitusVet has led to in increase in appointment requests.
  • We have seen an uptick in positive Google reviews with clients mentioning the ease of communication via text message.
  • Being able to send payment links for payment via text has led an in increase in payment compliance.

VitusVet is well suited for us because it has improved client communication and engagement. We receive text messages from clients which saves time for both the client and our hospital. VitusVet is easy-to-use, but may be less ideal for very large practices needing advanced customization or deep integrations with other systems. VitusVet has helped our hospital with higher appointment and prescription request volumes, reflecting its practical value.
