Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard EPDR
This is used to handle endpoint security on all our remote Panasonic toughpads for remote drivers. We needed a low-impact client that had powerful anti-malware and security features while remaining centrally controlled and configured.
Pros
- Anti-virus
- Remote aggregated configuration and deployment
- anti-malware
Cons
- Would love to see FIM as a piece of this, could consider for PCI environments
- Would love to see strong east-west firewalling along with FIM for PCI.
- Reduced management overhead
- Improved endpoint performance and security
- Cost-effective licensing model
Watchguard is better in scenarios where cloud-Managed, low impact client tech is helpful. It works great for drivers who have intermittent access to internet and low bandwidth cellular at times. Price is another attractive quality when compared to other EDPR systems, watchguard is affordable at scale.

Would you buy Watchguard Endpoint Security again?
Yes
It has been a strong piece of our solution. We use it to cover an area that we had no good solution for prior to purchase. It has dramatically improved our stance especially for high risk remote systems. The central management has been seamless and very simple to handle in our labor pool.
