Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security

Long-time WatchGuard Network Security customer and have deployed Fireboxes from small 1-5 user deployments up to multi-facility inter-connected locations. WatchGuard Network Security has historically been my go-to product for the past 20+ years.

Pros

  • Easy deployment
  • Easy configuration

Cons

  • Like all subscription models, becomes expensive over time
  • Not cost-effective for small business.
  • Historically this was a buy-once and use forever type of device. Now the subscription renewal fees are making us looking at other providers.
Zero value noticed so far.

Like any scenario, the right device will be what works for you. I've found that the WatchGuard Network Security series of firewalls is a "jack-of-all-trades" and is able to fit in to any environment.
