Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security

We mainly use WatchGuard to secure our network and internet use for students and staff, ensuring that only allowed and managed devices have access to our internal network and internet. The DCHP pool and IP configuration are easy to use to assign addresses to devices and direct traffic to and from those devices. The web filter is quite useful to ensure that any web traffic is monitored and safe for use.

Pros

  • Web content filtering.
  • Device permissions.
  • VPNs.

Cons

  • The UI could be more user friendly.
  • Certain settings can seem buried or difficult to find.
  • I can't give numbers but it has allowed us to greatly expand without additional investment into systems.
We work with CIO Now and NextLevelTech. I am not sure if either of them are partners but I have been quite happy with what they are able to provide for us and their ability to help when needed as well.
WatchGuard cloud management has been a game changer. It has been great to be able to manage assets from one unified platform rather than needing to connect to separate sites. Even if I'm not physically driving to a location, cloud management is superior to remote or VPN connections.
WatchGuard Cloud is fantastic. We love being able to provision, manage, and configure our products and services from a central location. This reduces significant time and effort spent traveling to different physical locations.

Do you think WatchGuard Network Security delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with WatchGuard Network Security's feature set?

Yes

Did WatchGuard Network Security live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of WatchGuard Network Security go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WatchGuard Network Security again?

Yes

WatchGuard is well suited to larger networks or traffic—and user-heavy networks, but for networks where the traffic is lighter, such as 100 or fewer users and/or devices, WatchGuard is probably more than what is really needed and, at that point, possibly more of a hindrance than a help.
