Overall Satisfaction with Webeo

Working in edtech means there are lots of different roles that engage with your products. For our website we are speaking to tech directors, teachers, trainers and curriculum directors across different landing pages and product pages so having a tool that can help us personalize the experience for those viewers based on known data like their location, their behavior across our site and collected data through our CMS system is a major value for our marketing goals in driving new leads and conversions.

Pros

  • Behavioral targeting based on visited pages and previous actions taken
  • Analytics to see which personalized campaigns are performing compared to the standard viewing experience.
  • Support staff that helps you identify areas to target to maximize your goals

Cons

  • Integrations with specific versions of CRM systems, identifying specific leads versus more broader data is currently difficult to do
  • Page editing is a bit difficult to navigate without some savviness in editing HTML
  • Personalization abilities and behavioral targeting
  • IP tracked viewers to help us get an idea of unknown and known identifiable visitors actions
  • Webeo has had a positive impact on ROI when looking through the Webeo analytics, but our main challenge has been the metrics not syncing with our CRM so we can identify specific leads that came through a personalized experience.

I think Webeo is very well suited for offering personalized experiences for viewers based on their IP locations as well as behaviors taken along their viewing experience. If you have multiple layers to your audience (buyers, users, etc.) then it's a wonderful tool to make sure something like your homepage has the right messaging needed for the right viewer.

Where it may be less appropriate is if you're in a singular industry with only a specific type of customer coming to your website. For the cost it would most likely make more sense to spend time crafting strong on-page content and optimizing for performance.
