Webroot Business Endpoint Protection + MDR

Overall Satisfaction with Webroot Endpoint Protection

We've always taken a multi-layered approach to security software, as in my experience, there's no single perfect tool. Using Webroot Endpoint Protection as our choice for "somewhat traditional antivirus protection" along with another niche tool for endpoint protection (including Patch Management and Ransomware Rollback) has proven to be a good choice.

Pros

  • malware detection
  • malicious website blocking
  • blacklisting

Cons

  • high resource utilization
  • improve admin UI
  • Well-priced for the features included
  • Some systems seem to struggle with Webroot Endpoint Protection resource requirements. Somewhat unpredictable.
I've never found the admin UI to be very user-friendly.
I use them both. Webroot Endpoint Protection is deployed at the corporate level, but ThreatDown is added at the unit level. If I could only choose 1, Webroot Endpoint Protection would not be it. But, as I said, its price vs. performance ration might be superior to ThreatDown.

So much of this is personal choice. Of course, budget always also plays a huge role. I'd be confident recommending Webroot Endpoint Protection to colleagues based on a price vs. performance sweet spot. Are there better options? Yes, I believe so. Do those options cost a LOT more? Yes, they certainly do.
