Overall Satisfaction with Workday Adaptive Planning

FY Budget Planning, Quarterly Forecasting, Reporti & Dashboarding

  • Systematizes Budget data
  • Nice Visuals

Cons

  • Dashboarding capabilities (UI more straightforward & intuitive; More freedom in formatting/mass updates)
  • Reporting Capabilities (UI more straightforward & intuitive; More freedom in formatting/mass updates)
  • Integrations with other systems (WSS)
  • More straightforward guidance when integrations fail
  • Details behind confidence metrics in predictive forecaster
  • Positive is being in a system & having data housed there
  • Positive around ability to report/ dashboard
  • Negative is time constraints and disconnect on data inputs in Workday Adaptive Planning vs an exce
  • Negative is configurability/customization in the system
Not much - Very excited about predictive forecaster, however I can't be comfortable using & presenting this feature until there's detail on how the system landed there and what supports confidence metrics
Implementation of workflow for budget/forecast process
Integrations are not straight forward & often break. Reporting is fairly simple, but nuanced & lacks configurability
New model building can be difficult without a template or sample

It's a good starter system for any org that's coming out of a manual environment. The base capabilities are good but there's still much improvement on both basic & advance functionality needed
