Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We use Zoom to meet virtually with our clients during recording and mixing sessions. We can transmit audio in real time from a voice talent to a producer/copywriter and their corporate client simultaneously. We can also playback audio and video while composing music or sound design to picture. This negates the need to constantly post new versions of exported files to cloud transfer sites.

Pros

  • share video files directly from hard drive for playback
  • settings for pro audio users
  • schedule meetings in advance at time of session booking

Cons

  • stop auto muting other users when first-person user begins talking
  • clear list of video files supported for direct payback
  • improved collaboration with filmmakers
  • additional revenue from clients who do not have Zoom themselves
  • provides low cost camera infrastructure

Great for meeting virtually with clients for pro audio/video sessions. Great as camera for talent while sending separate audio channel for microphone during recording sessions. Great for larger slideshows/lectures with many users present. Will not replace Source Connect as a high bit rate audio data stream for remote voice recording.
