Overall Satisfaction with Zscaler Data Security

I use Zscaler to protect indexed and categorized apps through multiple protection channels—in-line, CASB, and Endpoint. I also utilize ZWA work workflow automation for DLP alerts.

Pros

  • Single Set of Dictionaries.
  • Easy Endpoint Deployment.
  • Single Console for DLP.

Cons

  • In my opinion, ZWA UI is UGLY.
  • Ability to check for watermarks.
  • Ability to use NOT rules (Anything that does NOT match this DLP Dictionary).
  • Provides a central UI for all DLP policies, which makes training easier.
  • Single-branded alerts make employee training easier.
In greenfield environments, it is easy to train on, but it can be challenging to transition from legacy interfaces.
ZScaler provides many more channels and integrations than the competition.

Data protection is well-suited when the client is already utilizing ZIA and has CASB solutions set up, and is a more greenfield environment. It is challenging when coming from legacy DLP products with auditing requirements in place.
