Overall Satisfaction with Zscaler Internet Access

We use Zscaler Internet Access for securing our Silver-Peak SD-WAN appliances, securing our remote and on-site users and ensuring guest and IOT use cases are both protected and monitored while ensuring only relevant and allowed applications and websites are being accessed.

Pros

  • Single Pane of Glass Management - Everything is very easy to access and monitor the entire environment from an internet security perspective.
  • Install Flexibility - We can and do install Zscaler Internet Access on both our client devices as well as our SD-WAN appliances and servers. This allows us to control internet security even on devices without an agent in our networks.

Cons

  • I would like to see some of the interface consolidated a bit, as sometimes finding a specific configuration or setting can be tricky and requires many different menus
  • Zscaler Internet Access has helped us reduce cost in terms of having specific hardware appliances or running around and adjusting URL filters or blocklists. You just configure your categories, configure your profiles and groups, then you go.
The portal, while very easy to actually understand can be a bit tricky to find specific menus in.
Zscaler Internet Access has significantly more configurability and capability in the platform, and can scale much better with large organizations. It is also much more affordable for our environment and gives us greater flexibility to grow into the Zscaler Platform.

Zscaler Internet Access has extremely powerful category selection and it is very easy to create your own destinations for inspection and policy exceptions (SSL exception specifically). It is also very affordable and just as powerful (if not more) than some of the other solutions I have used in the past to achieve internet security.
