1Password vs. Cloudflare One (SASE) vs. Picus Security

1Password is a great tool when it comes to data security and managing your passwords. It is perfect for daily work that requires accessing a lot of different login credentials to different softwares, servers etc., so it is a great tool for all web developers and programmers, but also to project managers and other employees that have to login to multiple different services regularly.

I wanted to securely connect to my servers without getting tracked by malicious attackers, even though I was on public Wi-Fi. Security was my top priority, and I also wanted a setup that was easy and quick to start and provided great network performance. Cloudflare's Zero trust matches my criteria for becoming my first choice.

If you want to analyze the full path focusing on the signatures it’s the best product in the market. If you want to test phishing, data exfiltration/DLP, DNS I don’t recommend Picus. Scenario based attacks also lacking. However Picus support is awesome and I like the development team. When we open a case, they’ll always return with the right answer

• Auto-generates secure long random passwords I would never be able to remember with so many I have to keep track of.
• It's a small thing, but the numbers and punctuation are shown in different colors so you never need to wonder if it's a zero or a capital O.
• Keywords let me organize my passwords however I want, by client, by function, whatever, the choice is up to me.
• A handy place to keep contacts and all kinds of other data besides just passwords. Can add any fields I want, even attach files in the secure vault.

• Attack vectors are mapped with existing vendors like Checkpoint and Mcafee, where you don't spend time finding out which cve mapped to which protection
• Ability to focus/highlght solely new threats, it's superb for 0days and up-to-date protections. As there are always timing issue between updates and apply the updates on the products.
• Blocked vs not blocked ratios on the dashboard with drill down menu specifiying the set of protections or signatures on the defensive measures
• Already mapped mitre att&ck framework on the dasboard. SOC and analyst team using the Mitre framework.
• Detection analytics enhance the analytics capabilities with pinpoint accuracy where to focus and how to prevent
• Timeline and scheduled reports from the dashboard in flexible format

• 1Password is so secure, that it lacks a self-managed "forget your password" functionality which means that as a manager, I have to approve password resets which may slow down some users.
• On Chrome, the extension sometimes stops working when the browser is updated.

The 1Password app design is top notch, much better than a couple other password managers I've looked at. The app and service are very flexible, allowing for many different types of data storage. The browser extensions generally work very well, allowing for easy access to login information while using pretty much any modern web browser.

Within a few hours, new engineers are trained in basic tasks and are quite happy they are able to resolve issues independently. After SSO is configured, onboarding is as simple as signing into m365 via a web browser popup.

I have never had any issues with 1Password and they have always been able to answer my questions adequately resolve my issues. Furthermore, they have a robust peer forum that can be accessed. They have helpful "Get to know Apps", videos and many articles to assist in the process of using the product.

1Password and LastPass are presently quite comparable in terms of the feature set they offer to their users. Unfortunately, it is their pricing models that differ, and is the only reason we felt the need to switch to LastPass from 1Password. LastPass simply offered better pricing for their business tier k(cheaper by $1/user/month.)

We use other vendors Verodin, AttackIQ, SafeBreach, Cymulate etc. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. Please take a look at TrustRadius reviews of each product. I don’t want to go head to head for each product in this
review. I select Picus because it's local startup company in our region. I like their support and engineering team. Support is marvelous. Product is giving what we expected from the product. Price is adequate. Reporting and dashboard is superb.

• We work with many security vendors. We use picus scores and share specific outputs with the company in case of decreasing score rates where the development and product team analyzes their updates or product engines to increase the rates.
