Spark Hire is a video interviewing platform. Some key features include: One-Way Interview, Live Interview, Collaboration and Shared Interview.
The system was flexible for candidates interested in applying to apply from any location, and then the system allowed for our department to log in from anywhere as well to track the hiring process. We have utilized AccuRecruiter for some job requisitions. While we were okay with the system as the recruiting side of the team, we had some issues with our IT systems team with integration considerations.
Spark Hire is well suited for the growing organization which hiring managers are always on the move. The chance of physically having an interview is less and even candidate sorting & tracking is tough. In this situation, Spark Hire is the best fit. In addition to this, when you need someone very special for a role this application will come to your help. It will ensure the best candidate is recruited as it will go under the multi layer assessment.
The applicant tracking process helps our teams keep organized especially given there are different stakeholders reviewing and making comments/decisions.
Providing an option to test or screen applicants helps make our job easier because then we don't need to sift through and spend time on applications that would be evidently screened out.
The video-based recruitment process helped our department save time because of the flexibility provided, especially during the remote times of the pandemic.
When we were working with our IT systems team to use AccuRecruiter, there were some hurdles that would need to be assessed such as if/how it can integrate better with our organization's current system.
There was a lack of ability to do reliable background screening of the candidates.
Reporting options can always be improved for example providing more charts and tables that are more ready to click and view.
Spark Hire is easy to use for both us and the candidate/interviewee. There is not a huge learning curve to being able to implement the program. Additionally, our clients (who are given access to the interviews) don't find it difficult to use, and our candidates have very few problems when recording their video interviews
I have not used the support that much with Spark Hire but it seems that there are a lot of features available for support and different resources that are provided on Spark Hire's website. For the most part, the system is very user-friendly and it's easy to navigate and figure out things on your own.
I can't remember the names of the other companies I reviewed but I chose Spark Hire because I could purchase the service on a monthly basis. This is an important feature for us since we're a small business.
The prescreening ability gave our department the flexibility to add questions to help identify the candidates that would be more suitable to review.
Provided a platform for our department's personnel in charge of recruiting for some roles over the pandemic to do this without requiring face-to-face interaction on site.
Helped with efficiency (saved time) with the recruitment process compared to that of our prior systems which were more email-based and could get disorganized.
