Finding a large group of customers or leads to onboard to app and encourage use. Can be a struggle to find the best fit leads for your product as there can be greater levels of analytical information to filter potential leads by. Does the job when running a campaign to onboard

Basis DSP

Basis is well-suited for platforms or advertisers seeking to locate a subset of users across a larger app ecosystem. The platform is well-suited for campaigns that are constrained by location/geotargeting parameters. While we use the platform exclusively to locate mobile app users in mobile apps, it would be difficult to say how other vendors seeking to acquire inventory in other environments would perform, we find that it is great for the purposes of in-app advertising. For campaigns with strict impression goals and minimums, a platform with different bid-stop technology may be more appropriate.

  • Reporting. We have lots of issues with the amount of information available to us. We've had to make special requests to get reports for a campaign's lifetime because the system times out pulling large amounts of data. If you're a save-and-stitch kind of person it might be okay for you.
  • Transparency. Checking site lists and would get lots of generic site bundle names with no real idea where are impressions were actually being served.

We have a dedicated account rep. She makes it seem like we are her only client, she is very responsive, helps each time we have a question and understands our campaign goals. Anytime we need support, our rep is available either email or call and if she is not going to be available, she will let us know ahead of time to provide back up and inform them of our current campaigns so they can better assist us.

There are a ton of tactics and strategy to implement in the DSP platform. There isn't really a selection of the different types of campaigns or tactics to choose from, you just have to learn as you go. Once you figure out the strategy and goal of the campaign it is very easy to implement the tactic and to achieve its goals.

AdGear was the easiest tech to start on and it was my manager's choice. He enjoyed it though would get frustrated by the UI. I found it easy to use and set up; through lacking meaningful more insights into leads and lead generation to acquire important information when converting to users on the platform.

Basis DSP

The primary reason for an agency or an SMB to use Basis is cost -- unlike other platforms which are full service or enterprise platforms with aggressively high minimums, Basis is well suited for proofs of concept and smaller campaigns. It can scale up, but the entry-level pricing and self-service portal make it a great fit for SMBs.
