Autodesk Vault is doing a very good job in managing documents, checking in and out files, tracking all versions and revisions that are made. All of these are are done automatically so users dont need to spend time to do it. Autodesk Autocad and Autodesk Inventor are automatically updated with changes made in Autodesk Vault.
If you have multiple departments that are in charge of production or different facets of a large project, this platform is for you. International companies would benefit especially from the real-time updates, which are incredible for overseas production monitoring. For smaller businesses, the cost is too much for something that could be handled in-house
This product is perhaps typical of something that seems as though it was conceived in the 90's and has seen various appendages since, none of which do their job particularly well. Nothing in this system is efficient and all its processes demand a huge, close to maximum possible level of human effort. No doubt many companies, such as my own are spend huge amounts of money for the debateable privilege of tripling their employees workload and making them as inefficient as possible to make the administration of the system seem more important than it actually is.
Even though the cost is higher than its counterparts in the market, overall, it is reliable and gets the job done.
I've faced a single issue in my tenure of using this platform - the integration capabilities. As compared to other project management tools, CMW does seem to have limited integration options.
Vault is very easy to use. It works directly with Autodesk design products like Inventor, Autocad Electrical and AutoCAD, so for CAD users the workflows (check-in/check-out, version control, BOM management) feel familiar and streamlined. It's very good in managing files, revisions, and data security. All our users generally appreciate having a central repository for engineering data, as we have several offices across the globe
As I mentioned in my whole review that it is making opration smoother it's capabilities to automate repetitive tasks, reduce manual errors,and improve productivity.Its low code approach allows us to create business apps quickly and easily without requiring extensibe programming knowledge.although it has lots of positive points but there are some issues which is barrier to become perfect that's why I give 8
Windchill is an extremely verbose and unintuitive system, with masses of unnecessary duplication of fields, convoluted workflows, unclear roles and terrible search capabilities. It is one of the worst software products I have ever seen to propose solving something that is actually factors quicker to do with manual writing and paper work
Autodesk Support for Vault is very good and fast. The quality of support depends heavily on whether users are working with a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) or Autodesk directly. In my case I am the support specialist for Autodesk Vault at my company and have full support from them. Also, having subscription is important
It's more of drag and drop functionality. It is quite easy to set up. Creation of form is very easy. Support Team of Comindware Tracker is good and very friendly. It is efficient in terms of task management, project management, team management, vendor/client tracking.
A great tool for the designers to monitor their work, they can track the entire the entire product development cycle from the beginning to the the design competition and if any revision or correction is required they can do it instantly, furthermore it also offers cloud based hosting service. It offers transparency by providing unique user access and login options
Other than trying Comindware Tracker it is newer to me, I have used Adobe software multiple times and are familiar with their products. I won't stack Comindware Tracker against them because they both are amazing. I like using Comindware tracker because it is easy to use and is great for me, it helps optimize and maintain my workflows.
Windchill is having a great market share & its UI is simple & neat, integration with Creo & ERP system. These are the main reasons of considering Windchill by our organization.
Saves time as all of our drawings and business instructions and procedures are housed in a central location with check-in/out capability and version control.
