AWS Storage Gateway vs. Hitachi Command Suite

The AWS Storage Gateway is well suited if you want a quick way to off load your backups to the cloud to eliminate the need of a offsite storage location for physical tapes. The ROI is quite good from that perspective since you can utilize Glacier storage for the virtual tapes. The AWS Storage Gateway is not well suited if data sets being backed up is very large. The lack of de-duplication will add time to your backup. It will also increase the egress charges

Even as a non-IT employee, this software helps me to see how I am using the organization's digital resources. At a larger scale, where Hitachi Command Suite excels, this software allows an organization to monitor and analyze their resources and how employees and customers are utilizing them. I find this is best used when dealing with sensitive information (such as medical records), or with consumer-facing content.

AWS Storage Gateway performance is ever excellent since we deployed it in our company. Downloading this platform and installing the setup is easy as compared to other similar products. Better reputation to start with, Hitachi appears to have (and thus hopefully will continue to have) great customer service for its products. Moreover, Hitachi Command Suite offered the most comprehensive, in terms of variables and aspects measured, functioning compared to its peers. Other software services were just as clunky, without the extra features, and without the customer service reputation, Hitachi has. So far I/we have been pleased with this selection.
