The Bloomberg Terminal is well suited for: Real-time market data and trading: is the orign all data. It provides up-to-the-minute data Financial analytics and research: BI function is really good as you can have deep knowladge on several sectors. Portfolio and risk management: Port funtion is really good ( i guess still good with new update)

Usability
It's a good product, it has a lot of functionalities, and the information is accurate. However, it could be easier to use, particularly the Excel formulas such as BQL. The third-party research functionalities are also a bit slow and difficult to search for when using keyword search.

Alternatives Considered
Visible Alpha and AlphaSense are better for fundamental research of publicly listed companies. The Visible Alpha Excel plug-in is easy to use, the financial KPIs are easy to find, and there's a long historical data availability. Whereas the AlphaSense AI functionality is incredibly useful when researching companies because it allows for searches in broker research and regulatory filings using AI.
