CareerBuilder.com
Chose CareerBuilder.com
I do not think that CareerBuilder.com is a very good job posting site. It does not provide you with quality applicants like some other products I have used. Not only does it provide a low number of candidates, the ones we do get to tend to be repeat applicants or are not …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder.com does not come close to measuring up to their competitors. I've been working with Pandologic and Indeed since I still had to find qualified candidates for my clients and the difference in performance, quality of candidates, and customer service is like night …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
Wizehire is one of the most amazing systems I've ever seen. I've continued to share their information with many, and my hope is that they take the hiring world by storm! It's easy to use, they obtain great candidates and many. They're very responsive and always there to help. …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder did not meet our needs because of this we stopped using them. We have found Indeed to be the best hiring platform out there, and we have looked at ALL OF THEM. We spent money that did not turn in to new hires, so it was a waste. It appeared like CareerBuilder …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
We were sold on CareerBuilder's "exclusive" contract with Google, and the ease of linking our website marketing to the platform. We googled our CareerBuilder job posting, to find them 5 pages deep. When we questioned these results with our account manager, he had no response. …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
ZipRecruiter is far superior to CareerBuilder.com in every way. We were placing applicants in jobs within days of signing with ZR.
Chose CareerBuilder.com
Careerbuilder comes in last place on my list with Ziprecruiter and Monster and LinkedIn in top place
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder.com offers a better selection. It is almost as if a more responsible group of people utilize it.
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder.com was one of the first employment advertising that our company has used and we have been using it for about 7 years. Since then, we have tried other employment advertising (Monster.com, Indeed.com, LinkedIn, RecruitMilitary, and ZipRecruiter) and we have …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
Indeed seems to be having some similar issues which is why I tried Careerbuilders. However Careerbuilders was even lower quality despite their marketing that suggests they have more qualified applicants.
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder.com is a different animal than LinkedIn Jobs. LinkedIn pulls candidates who are passive, whereas CareerBuilder.com targets more active candidates in the market. LinkedIn has served as a much more viable resource for sourcing higher level candidates, who are not …
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder.com's resume database functions just like any other job board. I believe the market is shifting away from job boards. What sets it apart is its stellar data tools.
Chose CareerBuilder.com
CareerBuilder proved to have more candidates and an easier interface than Monster. However, Indeed has a much higher volume of candidates in their pool and LinkedIn provides many more search parameters and a better platform for reaching out directly to candidates.

If I could give them a zero, I would. In my experience, CareerBuilder.com literally took thousands of my hard-earned dollars ($5K) for NOTHING in return! You would think that since CareerBuilder.com could literally see that it was not producing the results promised, it would have considered releasing me from the contract or lowering the cost, in my opinion, but CareerBuilder.com made sure they collected every penny from me with zero consideration for customer satisfaction and failed to deliver the applicants. That told me everything I needed to know about CareerBuilder.com and how they really feel about customers. In my opinion, CareerBuilder.com primary focus is to get customers on the hook with a contract to legally guarantee they receive their money from you, but they can care less about the results their platform produces or customer satisfaction, “they just want your money”! I firmly believe CareerBuilder.com knows that their product does not work, hence the reason for the 1 yr contract is to basically guarantee company revenue for an entire year.

Cons
  • Functionality can be more user-friendly for beginners.
  • More options to integrate with other platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Make it easier to create candidate lists, and send mass emails--while this feature is available, CareerBuilder.com does not make it easy for users to perform these tasks.
  • Add an option for the user to be notified when candidates in saved folders have removed their resume or are no longer available.

Usability
CareerBuilder.com is average in terms of overall usability. I am able to post my positions and figure the site out. However, finding out how many additional options you are is not something easily accessible. If you don't know where to look, you may not be able to find or know how many "boosts" you have to use for the month.

Support Rating
I have had a positive experience with CareerBuilder's support. When the platform has been updated throughout the years, CareerBuilder's account managers have always provided our team with helpful live tutorials and demonstrations to help familiarize our users with new and upcoming features, as well as older features that will no longer be offered. Support team makes themselves available on an ongoing basis.

Return on Investment
  • There was not a good ROI for the investment we spent with CareerBuilder. It cost us money that did not turn in to employees.
  • We spent labor hours trying to get candidates who were ghosting us. So it ended up being a waste of time and manpower as well.
