Case Status vs. Filevine

the only situation I have encountered where Case Status is less appropriate is when dealing with clients who are not tech savvy or who do not want to put another app on their phone. Otherwise, there is always a use for Case Status! Its especially conveniant when on a call with a client... if they mention needing to send a document, all i have to do is tell them to upload it to the app.

AI is here - whether we like it or not, lawyers and paralegals are using it. Filevine gives users the AI in a safe way that isn't in the public domain or discoverable. Lois has given our users the AI tools so we can control how AI is deployed and used, keeping our data safe, our client information protected and eliminating the possibility of any open AI searches being discoverable

• triage could be more straight forward, not sure that the new XOS platform is as straight forward as the old model
• translation features on the new XOS model could be more accessible/conveniant
• the old Case Status model was simpler to navigate in my opinion

• It is often hard to create complex reports, or find field names.
• The attachments are often just sitting in the docs section without organization.
• Setting up templates isn't easy, but they pull in data fine. The mail merge function doesn't support if/then logic. Pronouns are not automatic.
• It just needs to be more affordable. It is built to push you to buy third-party services rather than use its own capabilities.

It's worth our investment, we've reached a 75% ROI within the last 3 years, it was not easy but we feel that we succeeded, 75% it was not from one day to the other, it was a huge effort delivered from everyone in our organization and now we're living our dream.

my only hesitation is the new XOS platform not being as basic for users as the last model. I think there are some features that are hard to find, such as removing a case or turning on translation. Otherwise, its pretty user friendly

I think for support staff and attorneys it is very easy to use but that really all depends on your admin and how your firm chooses to set it up and the tabs. Usability from an admin standpoint is completely different.

Their live video chat support is a good resource, but often the problem cannot be resolved through this chat, and then promises to have someone follow up are almost always dropped. Filevine fails to make corrections for glitches or missing basic functions.

Filevine charged a lot for implementation, both directly to Filevine and their partners, but they failed to deliver on what was promised

I have not used any other system before and I cannot imagine myself using any other one. I am used to the layout and overall whole design of Filevine so I hope I don't have to switch to a different system any time soon or ever in the coming future
