Checkr vs. NameScan

I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to any talent team hiring at scale. We run large scale hiring campaigns for field teams where new sites ramp up, think 50 plus employees. In those case, chekr's ability to launch and track checks in bulk is a lifesaver.

In our specific case, NameScan is an interesting piece of software for administratively verifying the identity of those who have to enroll in courses or discuss a Thesis. The fact that NameScan can be integrated with other software (anti-plagiarism, for example, Turnitin) guarantees greater use efficiency. In this case, the integrated verification of identity and possible plagiarism helps us significantly limit fraud.

• The ETA calculation to predict when screening will complete for each background check report is good
• The SSO is a huge plus point and helps us to seamlessly login
• the chrome extension comes in super handy to add and update information
• the Background Screening tailored for various regions save a lot of time in formulating the same especially if your company is spread across multiple regions

• The software still generates confusion, especially in the case of Asian names, often repetitive or similar to each other. In this case, the information it returns is not very accurate.
• The numerous integrative databases that can be purchased are really very expensive.
• NameScan is graphically unintuitive.

There are more affordable options out there but checkr is reliable and it definitely an easy premium to pay for the reliability

It has plenty of customization that you can do to help with sending information to those who need it rather than to just one person for all things. Allowing for more workflow customization for your organization's needs.

We have not used any services other than Checkr. We started using Checkr over a year ago and have had no need to try other services. Checkr provides us with the services we need in an easy, complete format. Background / Criminal history checking are our primary use of Checkr and it provides these seamlessly.

NameScan well integrated with our existing system, with less false positives results, where as with AuditGenius we get search results are not that great & sanctions list such as WorldCompliane, Dow Jones not up to mark, we have also issues with integration with our system . NameScan also offer us best competitive price .

• It is sped up our onboarding process quite a bit since background checks now happen at a pretty fast pace.
• Integration with our ATS has also kept our workflow simple, so my team doesnt need to get training on a separate software and manage multiple logins.

• It allowed us to limit the admission of non-welcome people to the University.
• It has allowed us to limit the number of frauds in the context of thesis discussions, especially doctoral ones.
