Cortex XDR (formerly Traps) replaces traditional antivirus with multi-method prevention, a proprietary combination of malware and exploit prevention methods that protect users and endpoints from known and unknown threats.
I use Clario to access platforms unavailable in my country. Our company uses them to place our products and we need vpn to access those links and Clario has it so it’s a great match. We have used another corporate app before but it has been costly and didn’t have so many servers available - so I’m actually happy we don’t need it anymore. What I really loved is cleaner browsing without ads - they no longer distract when you need to check something for business.
I didn’t have enough time to get to know all the tools. I know there is an antivirus and a hacker check or something, but since I use Clario mostly for work, this isn’t really relevant to my daily work routine. Actually I guess it must be nice to have a separate business version with some specific file security features like shredder and different pricing.
Malware that doesn’t leave files behind has become widely available. Anyone who can afford to reverse this trend should purchase technology. Application whitelisting isn’t for everyone, and Palo Alto Networks Traps can help. Enterprises looking for a low-affected, next-generation solution with high protection should consider it. PAN Traps is a great product at a reasonable price, and I highly recommend it.
Clario extension for safari blocks most pop-ups and annoying ads on websites.
Clario shows a green or red checkmark next to each Safari search result, which signals whether the link is safe or not.
It's really easy to enable the VPN feature when I need to access other countries' search results, and to overall keep my data secured while using different Wi-Fi networks.
I like their impeccable support service. If I have any questions, they usually reply in the chat within a few seconds. I've talked to a few of their agents regarding different issues, and all of them were very friendly, helpful, and nice.
It's not often you come across such a smooth and pretty design. I like how the Clario mobile app looks and how it guides me through all of the steps to secure my device.
Clario doesn't send me a bunch of annoying notifications daily as many other apps tend to do. Almost all of their alerts are about the useful things I need to pay attention to keep my data secured. Which is lovely and helpful, and not at all annoying. I hate when apps send a bunch of unnecessary notifications.
Cortex XDR does a very good job of blocking suspicious and threatening items. However, as with all software of this nature, it will sometimes block known-good items. The difficulty is in manually whitelisting these known-good items. The interface to whitelist is confusing even for a seasoned IT professional and has been the single most frustrating experience of using Cortex XDR
I have to say that Clario customer service is simply outstanding. When you talk to their experts, it does feel that they are experts - and they also answer literally the moment you message them
The support we receive from Palo Alto is one of the best aspects of Traps. It is very easy to recommend their support. It seems much easier to connect directly with someone with a deep understanding of the product rather than other companies where you basically have to make an airtight case that it is some kind of non-standard issue that can't be solved with existing documentation. Palo Alto digs deep and helps with advanced troubleshooting to get things working.
My only experience with this kind of software is NordVPN. I used it several years ago on my old family computer. I chose Clario after a suggestion on Facebook because I like using the same app on my computer and phone. Also, Clario offers many other useful tools I need in addition to the VPN. I feel safer and more protected with them.
Traps is the slickest interface, easy to use and intuitive rule making, and the rest just didn't quite stack up to the performance level of Traps. McAfee and Kaspersky just hog processor and RAM power. I didn't like the interface and functionality of SentinelOne as much as Traps. Palo Alto really put a lot of time into the development of this software, and had some of the founding fathers of IT Security heading the development process. Can't beat that.
