Clever vs. SAP Digital Manufacturing

I am able to go to Clever and log into several of the most used websites that I use for my classes on a regular basis. It makes everything very handy. I would definitely recommend using Clever for teachers who want everything in one place. It’s a great tool for teachers.

It is well suited for a standard workstation where orders need to be displayed and where feedback is provided either manually or by the machine.Special use cases, such as generating serial numbers for consistent component identification, require a fair amount of in-house development. Another drawback is that some scenarios supported in SAP PP cannot be mapped using DM

• It could use more ways to be able to log in besides just Clever and Google.

• The inbuilt functionalities like in ME instead of building separate production process.

The interface works well once we have a clear knowledge on it. It gives clear process steps and real time information The UI can be more simplified and the number of clicks required to for certain functionalities can be reduced

Clever isn't a student platform or management system, but more an interface to launch into other programs and applications

I have used some custom in house applications SAP application is more reliable since it uses standard practices compared to the in house application

• I don't have to struggle to find the websites that I need.
• My students know exactly where to go when it’s time to take a test.
• My teammates can access sites that I add, and vice versa.

• As it is cloud based product, quarterly upgrades impacts the production and needs effort and resources for testing
• Product is not fully matured. It still has bugs
