REDCap is a secure web application designed by Vanderbilt University to build and manage online surveys and databases in a research setting for universities.
While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data in any environment (including compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR), it is specifically geared to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations.
The platform can be used for new biotechs who are just starting to implement clinical research platforms or for companies who are looking for new systems. ClinPlus has all other systems too such as EDC, IWRS, and eTMF so a company can use one platform for all the systems. ClinPlus Clinical Trial Management System is cloud-based so it is useful for end users to access the system without logging into a company server.
It has been a great experience so far and I think that the Dacima Survey will do a great job in businesses that are related to pharmacy, research institutes, hospitals, and even universities. The services being provided are highly top notch which I really like but they need to further improve their customer service. Hence, I feel that in the future Dacima Survey will be the leader when it comes to the Electronic Data Capture Software Market.
Clin Plus CTMS can be integrated with Clin Plus EDC, eTMF, and IWRS system. It also has the ability to seamlessly integrate with other platforms
Their monitoring functionalities are very useful such as site visit report authorizing and review workflow, email notification to CRAs and Project Managers for creating and reviewing trip reports.
Study Finance Management tool is also a good feature to keep track of all your site budgets in one platform
I have been using Dacima Survey frequently in my organization and it has been a great find for me as well as for my organization as we can handle all these questionnaires very easily.
Dacima Survey is composed on FDA 21 CRF and has all these trials and audits which makes the credentials and authenticity of it on another level.
It offers excellent and smart features [for] less money.
Customization. I can use HTML to change format but there are also a ton of built in functionality for branching logic, matrix configuration, slider scales, etc.
Security. HIPPA compliance is extremely important for medical research and REDCap ensures our data is safe.
Variety of use. Being able to send both surveys and create forms for internal use makes the use cases numerous.
As a user, I expect their customer service to be as good as their software but unfortunately their customer service has a lacking element that requires further improvement because their representatives sometimes are quite unprofessional which leads to a negative image of Dacima Survey.
It is very interesting to me especially that it meets all my needs. The libraries makes the job even much easier, since you can just make a few adjustments to the appropriate template chosen
I still prefer using Medidta CTMS as the platform is laid out in a very intuitive way and it is also very easy to integrate all the data into other platforms. With Clin Plus CTMS the system is good but to utilize it to its full potential all the other platforms provided by Clin Plus needs to be purchased also
It is an outstanding platform that comes with highly developed features. The most amazing features that I like the most that I can easily manage anonymous questionnaire and quizzes by just logging onto the platform on any device, like I can create forms and quizzes with a token via email or sms using smartphone or computer.
SurveyMonkey and Google Forms have similar features for surveys but they lack the form options and user interface. They are also not HIPPA compliant so we are not able to collect any identifying information which is usually an issue in research when we are tracking participants. Many institutional review boards won't even approve a study without a HIPPA compliant data collection service.
Studies have become so much easier to follow with the Dacima Survey. Moreover, the alert procedure in Dacima Survey is also great and very user-friendly.
It has been a while for me to use Dacima Survey and I have to say that it has been used very frequently in my business organization as I feel that my business can handle and cater to all the questionnaires very professionally.
It has provided us with a solution that is customized to the needs of our business.
REDCap allowed us to house all patient information in one single portal which helped us eliminate the need for paper copies. We moved our whole filing system to an electronic version when we became "live" on REDCap. It is also very convenient and accessible to have all of this data in one location.
A very positive impact is the ability for multiple users to see the same health and wellness information for each specific patient. Instead of constantly having to go back and forth via email, phone, etc. to ask about the patient; we could simply look up their information in REDCap and find all of the answers. It made our business much more efficient and made the patients feel as though we did our research prior to meeting with them.
