The IBM® Maximo® Application Suite (MAS) comes in two packages: client managed software or software as a service (SaaS). MAS is purchased using a simplified licensing and usage model leveraging a credit-based system called AppPoints. This provides the flexibility to easily add functionality and users, scale your business, and pay only for what you use with a single entitlement.
Corel Painter does have a lot of great brushes, and they do emulate real art supplies very well. Especially the thick paint is well done. But unfortunately there are so many functional and UX bugs that overall it is just horrible to work with. When contacting customer support about it, they really seem clueless about the seriousness of the situation, and clueless about what proper UX is in general. They have tried to make it work a bit like Photoshop, which is a good move but then some things are absolutely not intuitive at all and they are definitely missing the mark horribly with so many issues. I would highly recommend using Photoshop instead, though you'll have to download them separately; it also offers a lot of great brushes nowadays and works much much smoother without all those aggravating bugs of Painter. The price of Corel Painter is just not at all worth all these horrible bugs.
The software is very well-suited to asset lifecycle management and system condition monitoring. User-friendliness of the product and effectiveness in managing work orders. The software's pricing is much more affordable than that of other EAM systems. Many improvements are needed in the customer support services department. Delays in response are costly.

Usually, we have problems with the mobile apps. For about seven out of ten customers, we need to use third-party mobile applications. It’s been a rollercoaster — Anywhere was terrible, then Maximo Mobile for 8 was pretty good, and now with Maximo 9, it’s problematic again. So it’s been ups and downs. But the good thing is that the architecture is open, so we can use third-party applications or even develop our own add-ons. Still, IBM could do this better.

IBM Maximo Application Suite has provided a solution to our desire to consolidate the multiple applications serving the layers of the Procurement process we has been accustomed to using. By consolidating applications, licensing and software costs are reduced, and the overall headcount to support the various applications was able to be minimized.

If it wasn't quite clear yet, I'll state it again: the usability of Corel Painter is, simply put, horrid. And I am not talking about rendering, lagging, etc., it is not even all that bad there. I am talking about the weird issues like being unable to move a brush into a custom brush palette when you work on a second screen, like being unable to move the software onto the second screen in the first place unless you separate all the palettes and the windows (and if nobody tells you upfront there is no way of knowing because the manual doesn't state this at all), and then having to drag all your separate windows and palettes over one by one every time your computer wakes up again, and they won't really want to move to the other screen but only through a tiny corner of your screen, and the fact that you have to scroll through lists and lists of fonts but can't search and when you apply this font, add another piece of text the font jumps back to the default font of all the text already applied even when you haven't selected any of the text. Just to name a very small few.
The IBM Maximo Application Suite is well known for inventory management solutions. This solution is in use by many corporations but mostly I have seen its use in Ports, defense and aerospace industries. Some of the benefits are 1. asset tracking is amazing 2. Maintenance cost is less 3. Reduced inspection costs 4. Less downtime 5. It allows customization 6 Simplify data management 7. Highly adaptable

It was really hard to get them to understand what I was having problems with. It was hard to get the message through that Painter has an unacceptable amount of functional and UX bugs. When I finally talked to someone who was easier to communicate with, he was very stoic about the situation, like they didn't really care about the awful amount of bugs.
I have regularly contacted IBM Support to report issues and raise requests for issues we face during project implementations. The response from them has overall been good and to the point, and they get back to us within a day or 2 and guide us through the process of fixing it or providing an interim fix of the product

Implementation of IBM MAS as a service provider has been easy. The functionality in the OEM space has been the best of its class with all related modules and application subject to maintenance

Corel Painter has support to multiple OS and across all the devices. Coloring and multi layer imaging works very well. The new enhanced brush settings and the redesigned brush libraries.

As a computerized maintenance management system i do not have experience of any other system. The only experience I have is for Maximo and it works excellent for me. I am using many modules available in Maximo and all of these modules are almost fulfilling all of my business needs.

Based on our contracts, we are able to provide a great partnership with IBM thru Maximo and it's tools.
