Likelihood to Recommend If you are connecting to
Snowflake and want to query from your laptop, I find that this is much easier to use than
Snowflake 's IDE. It allows us as a business intelligence team to more easily connect to our servers, and code with much less hassle. It would be less appropriate if you are only on an on-premises SQL server, in that case, I would just use SSMS.
Read full review Pro - Stability. Does everything anyone could need. If it's not there it will be on the next update. There is plenty of support for it. It's been around for a long time and it's reliable. The support is well documented and has a great reputation. Cons - Errors have been found in the documentation provided by Oracle with guidelines, etc. Oracles salespeople have a reputation of being obnoxious and condescending.

This is expected from a managed DB. Everything must be done through the console or via API calls. This is a new learning curve for the DBAs. Due to the lack of physical host access, certain features are not supported, such as Transportable tablespaces and Oracle LogMiner. Certain special data types, (such as XMLType) are not allowed; be sure the app vendor certifies their product on this platform. Johnny Wu Project Leader, Data Infrastructure Services

Read full review Support Rating Not a lot of users have DBeaver so fewer resources are available online to help you if you have any issues. When I was trying to figure out how to create my own ER diagrams, it was a little tough to find resources

MySQL only supports
MySQL databases and it only provides basic functionality. On top of that, the user experience could be quite confusing for first-time users. SSMS from SQL server doesn't support inline editing nicely. The view for inline editing and view data is different, making it uncomfortable to use. All in all, DBeaver is the best tool when you manage a lot of databases with different types.
