easydocforms vs. Tungsten Power PDF

Tungsten Power PDF is great for document assembly and basic editing. You can edit text and objects, but it offers only basic editing features. It could have more editing options, or even combine text and object editing so you don't have to go back and forth between the two.

• I would really like to see improvement in the annotation ability of the program. We use it a lot for marking up drawings and there is definitely room for improvement on this front. I don't currently love all of the options available and they feel a bit clunky to use and not as precise as one would want. This is definitely where other PDF programs have the upper hand over Tungsten Power PDF.
• The editability of documents within the program could be improved again to meet more of the more known PDF programs in the space. It gives a little bit of editability but would really benefit from more options.
• The watermark tool could use a bit of work to be easier to use. We use it a lot and had to spend a lot of time making presets to get the look exactly as we wanted which was hard to do with the native tool options of the program.

Tungsten Power PDF is easy to use, the staff all like it, and there are no issues with it on any level. It is a more cost-effective solution to our PDF needs than other products currently available on the market. This product works as intended and it fits our business needs perfectly.

I found it easy to learn and observe that my colleagues also pick it up quickly when they get a license. I've been somewhat involved in training users on the various features, and I find that it's very intuitive compared to some of the other software that my organization uses.

Other that a PDF partially disappearing if left up for a long period of time - no issues. (If you close it and reopen it, it is all there. We have some PDFs that are 400-600 pages long.)

Pages nearly always load at the expected rapid speed. Some documents that print quickly from Adobe Reader print much more slowly from Power PDF. I have never generated a report - that's a feature I didn't know existed until now and do not know what it's for

I have contacted support a total of three times; once for installation support, twice for software support. I received contact back on my requests within four hours each time. Support was professional and supportive and quickly answered my questions/resolved my issues. I also emailed support a separate time to suggest software upgrades and receive a personal response within 24 hours. Very appreciative.

I did not get training from any representative of TrustRadius or from the company from whom TrustRadius acquired the product. I got an in-person overview of the 2018 version of the product from my predecessor who was about to retire from the job I now hold. He did not go into very many of the features and probably only knew about the ones he used most frequently. I gained additional knowledge from the help files, from online searches, and from just fiddling with the product. There's nothing like learning by doing

We watched the training videos and tested out the features and functionality side by side. Some features are not used on a regular basis is it is convenient to go back and review training on that particular functionality when needed.

It was simple and we were using the program the same day. It was as easy as downloading the program and getting in there and playing around. We felt comfortable with it within the first few hours of use.

Tungsten PDF is the best among the options for functionality, value for money, and usability. Subscription-based products often lock the most useful features behind a higher tier and push you to upgrade to another version (with features you may or may not need). With Tungsten PDF, you get what you pay for: an absolute gem of a PDF handler with all the features a document-heavy small business could need.

Not really familiar since I'm the only person who uses it. But in the past it has been my understanding that Power PDF was offered only on a single-license basis, so it's been expensive for me to use it at home and at work because I had to pay for it on my own. In my current position management supports it so I at least only have to pay for it once.

• Administrative time spent on document management and preparation has decreased by about 15%.
• Occasionally, software crashes, and unsaved work is lost when working with large PDF files.
• Flat-fee lump-sum pricing has saved us roughly $50 per month after the original purchase price of the software licenses was recouped.
