EPM Live vs. Rev.io PSA

I think EPM Live might be the right solution for a much smaller company, who does mainly business to business material sales. As a software company with a ramped subscription model and heavy use of Salesforce, it was not well suited to our business.

Tigerpaw Unleashed, according to Trust Radius is no longer being marketed. If it worked correctly, it has the potential to be great software for Enterprise level businesses. We chose the Unleashed version so that the technicians could use it in the field. It does take a lot of information to get the software up and running

• Fantastic project management features
• Cost and Resource management features more than paid for the software
• Social Collaboration tools improve communication between departments

• This is a solid product. I do not have any suggested changes based on our experience. Cannot understand why there are any negative reviews here. The reviewer(s) must not have given the product a fair chance.

• When training, during the overview of a chapter the examples tend to be from a prior version and do not reflect current software.
• In my experience when things don't work the way you think they should being told to go back and read the chapter that you read 5 times before is not helpful.
• I my experience when they know that there is an issue and the software is not working they keep billing you.
• They like to tell you that they are escalating the problem. You never see a resolution and they do not get back to you . You have to keep calling them.
• They acknowledge that you are having issues and state that there will be a credit. I have not seen one.
• In my opinion, training is filled with jargon and no glossary.

The product is just not fitting our needs so we are looking at other alternatives. The system has gone down 3 times in the last 6 months and was down for at least half a day, timesheets have duplicate tasks, and it takes too long to save and submit. When trying to process updates it randomly changes our dates so we have to go back and fix them, sometimes tasks are lost and the system is just very confusing and hard to manipulate

EPM was easier to use, with better and simpler UI. The product was also a great combination of price and functionality compared to other tools

• We had to pay EPM for a solution that was, for our business, unusable
• We gained much needed experience in working with third party software vendors

• Gigantic waste of time and resources
