Grammarly
Grammarly is a step ahead of the traditional spelling and grammar checking tool that is in-built with Microsoft Word. There are scenarios when you have to write long-form content, and depending on your normal day-to-day way of speech, you tend to write content using the same tone and sentence constructs. There may be nothing "wrong" as such, but Grammarly points out those small glitches in your text, which you considered to be correct but is not really correct. One such area is the usage of "passive voice" in the sentences that I used to write. I find Grammarly really helpful here.

Litera Desktop has many functions, but it is still a user-friendly program. Very easy to implement and easy to train. We send a variety of documents to clients and other legal professionals electronically. Litera will clean and scrub documents so that there is no hidden metadata when the documents are transferred. This keeps not only our clients and their files safe, but it keeps our email programs safe and clean as well.

Pros
Grammarly
  • Integration with existing tools - Grammarly works in practically all text areas across your browser, including email and things like Google Docs, etc.
  • Quality control - the meat of Grammarly is checking your text and writing in real-time, directly as you type. Most of the time, Grammarly provides very accurate recommendations and quality checks on your text.
  • Analytics and reporting - Grammarly sends regular updates via email about your usage statistics and other detailed info. This type of reporting can be very helpful in tracking your progress over time.

Cons
Grammarly
  • Somewhat expensive.
  • Grammarly itself does not guarantee 100% correctness.
  • Sometimes, it does not remove the marked error even when you have corrected it.
  • Its MS office version faces some issues with plagiarism detection. I have to go on the web version to use plagiarism detection.

Usability
Grammarly
It's great software to use but has much to be desired. Because I'm used to using Microsoft Word and Google Docs, using Grammarly for sentence structure can be challenging. The suggestions that appear help with grammatical corrections, but it doesn't fix line breaks. I think something like that would help streamline sentence structure.

They have done a good job of now overloading Workshare Compare with extra features it doesn't need. This does a couple of things:
  1. It means the interface doesn't have too many menus or too many buttons to click. Everything is straightforward and easy to use.
  2. It keeps the software fast.
  3. It makes it easy on the user to decide when you do and do not need to use this software.

I gave Workshare Compare such a high rating because I don't think I could do my job without it. It has just become so integral to my workflow, that if I were to ever change jobs I think I would have to insist my new employer to me a license. It is fast and just works 99% of the time. It is very rare that it gives me errors, and when it does it's likely because the underlying document is corrupted, not because of any issues with Workshare Compare.

Support Rating
Grammarly
I have not really used customer support. I used the FAQ page to see how to re-install Grammarly because it wasn't functioning properly in longer documents. It seems to be working better now, but it still does not always underline all of the issues in the actual text. Thus, it is sometimes difficult to know where the errors are located.

I have not used anything like Grammarly before and that is probably why I love it so much. It works very well for what I need. Plus, it goes above and beyond. I don't need it all the time but it is great to use in any communication occasion. I love it

The interaction that can be done within this software is very different from the others. One of the most important is that it is dedicated to quickly and easily summarize the work of comparing files, without having to work a lot to do it. Also, it is a program that helps to discover the direct opinion among the users of these documents.
