I always recommend Ibexa DXP to my fellows. The only scenario that I would not recommend it is if the site is either too small, too simple, or that they simply cannot afford to stand it up properly.

I wouldn't recommend them to anybody because their support is getting worse and worse and their business processes require you to contact support whether you want to or not. You will be forced to contact support and then wait for days to get any meaningful response that's not a copy/pasted sentence from FAQ.

  • Block technology is by far one of my favorite features of the tool. This allows us to quickly layout content in a unique manner with a variety of display options.
  • Micro Shareable content blocks allow users to quickly share our content across the web and drive more relevant traffic back to our site.
  • Reusable content blocks allow for better management of content throughout the site, ensuring accuracy with a simple update.

  • Super easy to implement SDKs across supported platforms that support modern interface paradigms.
  • Real team members that provide backend support for merchant issues. We had issues addressed quickly and taken seriously whenever we needed anything.
  • Help with navigating VAT transparently. We never worried that we were messing up in this complicated area of international sales.
  • Great first line customer support reduces the need for an extensive customer support organization on our end. They dealt with all purchase related issues as well as lightweight technical issues (e.g pointing users to FAQs, update links, etc.).

  • Limited partners when you compare to other solutions (WordPress, Drupal, etc). It took us a while to find a solid, trusted developer.

  • Analytics could support more flexible analysis of reported data and better custom events.
  • More customization of the drop in purchase UI on the web without the need for a full custom site integration.
  • Sometimes communication from their front line support staff has gone to the wrong address.

It is quite easy to navigate through the backend and also, you can directly work in frontend view. Dynamic content can be created on the fly. Their Landing page features are awesome. You create a page by drag & drop.

They are directly reachable and help you to deal with other services, e.g. if would like to set up a CDN for China or if you would like to integrate a tool like HubSpot. If there is anything you are missing, they help you to find a workaround until they can deliver such items - like local language versions.

We tried using Stripe before Paddle, but it was a pain integrating it and it lacked the licensing. Paddle allows us just to add a payment button and don’t ever think about payment methods, we don’t have to make a separate button for card payments and another one for PayPal. Paddle does all this in their checkout process.

The partner ecosystem is small. However, we've worked with two Ibexa partners over the last 10 years. They were very skilled. They were great companies. We've interviewed other Ibexa partners in North America. We found them all to be professional with solid resumes.

  • Overall, Ibexa DXP has met all of our business requirements. I can’t think of anything we haven’t been able to accomplish with Ibexa DXP.
  • We do see it as a bit expensive to own and operate. Licensing is a bit pricey.
  • Ibexa has stood by [its] product. They have been responsive to all of our requests. That's made a difference in the day-to-day support of the product.
