Likelihood to Recommend It scales well from the individual to corporate environments with many different plans to suit your needs and budget. For backing up servers such as Exchange or SQL I've used their sister product iBackup, which is also excellent and we have no problems with, so maybe they should merge the two products into one which would make it a better overall proposition. It also seems to handle backing up mapped drives as well, which is what we used for a while before getting the on server version. That being said it can use up quite a bit of bandwidth so make sure you schedule at night when noone is working. However it does only backup changed files which is great.

I think this service works very well for me, but I have been a Verizon customer for almost 15 years. If you are someone who hops carriers it may not be the best fit. I also like that you can easily use it with all of your employees regardless if they prefer Android or Apple phones. (Whereas using Apple's or Google's services may not work seamlessly for all phones.) I think it still has room for improvement, and sometimes I worry about the longevity of utilization due to the nature of cell phone carriers constantly changing prices, plans, and every option under the sun to make a buck that we could be very screwed in the future if Verizon does something stupid (because historically, they all have)
Read full review Pros Super easy to download, setup, set preferences and key account settings. The first back-up took all night, but after that the back-ups are quick, seamless, and always on-time per my preferernces. I love the confirmations and details on each and every back-up start-up and completion. Very informative and reassuring. Very easy to get back anything that I may forgotten to save or replace during the work. Can't think of anything negative at this time! Thank you IDrive! Auto-Sync of files or contacts to the cloud that are chosen to be auto-synced. Has the ability to turn off auto-sync and allow only manual sync. Stores files and contacts in the cloud for later recovery in case of a data loss. Read full review Cons It is becomes painfully slow for its unlimited backup when most of the users who use it for long time even for a month. This should be improved. There are not many options on the IDrive to select the "AUX" menu, I'm experiencing this problem with my newly bought second hand BMW 3 series E90 32i, 2010 model. There is not external devices alternative for me. Restoring an older version of a file is the hardest stuffs for me Read full review Verizon Business (formerly Verizon Enterprise)
The home screen shows a little bit of everything, but being a control freak, I would like to be able to customize it. (Granted, it would most likely have most of the same elements, but, for example, I don't need photos scrolling across the top. I'd rather have buttons like quick links to jump directly to what I want or to see a further bird's eye view of the content. I like receiving notifications that a back-up is complete, but I would like to be able to set what other notifications are and aren't allowed to push to my phone. I have set Verizon Cloud to back up on wifi OR using the data network. But if you are using wifi while doing a content restore and you lose that connection, either by leaving the building or the local wifi dropping out momentarily, the entire content restore will stop and need to be restarted. This can be very frustrating. Support Rating I have not had to use their tech support. I did call once but luckily figured out what to do while I was on hold so I disconnected. If I really needed them it would have been a very long hold time I suppose.

Alternatives Considered I was a Backblaze user for 5 years because they had a very cost effective plan for my storage needs. However, they were very poor at backing up external devices quickly, and made it a pain in the butt to keep the backups active due to their 30 days connectivity policy.
Dropbox is a great fit for cloud backup when you need to access the backup files in the cloud frequently.
IDrive is the best solution out there for true backup of devices in case they are damaged or lost.

All of the others provide more free storage. Verizon should out best or at least equal the best when you are already a Verizon data subscriber. It seems that by not doing this that they want to "nickle-and-dime" their already loyal customer base
Read full review Return on Investment iDrive has saved us money as their pricing structure is fair and they allow multiple devices to be backed up under the same account - where others do not. iDrive has saved us time as we no longer have to manually back up and sync files on our computers to external drives. iDrive has lessened the burden of stress. We no longer worry that we may lose critical data that can no longer be recovered. Read full review Verizon Business (formerly Verizon Enterprise)
Thus far is has been a positive experience, and has saved a lot of man hours of both employees who replaced their phones to the IT department trying to help them put everything back no longer needs to go through a lengthy process. The cost of this option is a bit higher than I'd like. I think Verizon is a little too proud of a product that every company is now starting to offer. There is a free version with limited space, so at least trying it out to see how it will fit with your needs isn't much of a risk.
