McAfee Total Protection (discontinued) vs. Paragon Hard Disk Manager

I think McAfee is great to have whether it's for work or for personal use. While it has some drawbacks, I like the peace of mind of feeling safe when I'm browsing the web/email, especially when my computer has sensitive/confidential information, knowing that McAfee will immediately detect any threats. The UI is extremely easy to navigate, which makes it easy for users regardless of how tech-savvy they are.

Paragon Hard Disk Manager is suitable for use by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The graphical user interface helps to make the software easy to use, even by those with limited computer/technical knowledge and skills. The software will likely meet most, if not all, of the backup requirements of SMEs.

• Disk wiping - quick and effective solution for simple wipe processes
• Partitioning - the software allowed us to work more closely with the partitions in a GUI environment
• Data Migrations - Paragon Hard Disk Manager made this process of data migration very easy and convenient

• Price - Extremely high price tag for many of the solutions.

• It can be upgraded to offer cloud storage services.
• The performance of the current features is stable.

McAfee has consistently delivered on its stated goals of providing comprehensive protection for our networks and systems. Due to their excellent work and follow through I have been, and will continue to be a loyal customer.

I've never had to contact Paragon support which speaks to the quality of their product.

I haven't used Norton for a while, but when I did use it I felt that it slowed down my computer and had constant pop-ups, which were both equally frustrating and annoying. It was also very difficult to remove from my computer. Malwarebytes is a great, straightforward program I've used for virus scanning. It's pretty bare bones but I think if you just want something to scan for viruses it gets the job done quickly and reliably. In my opinion McAfee offers similar benefits as Norton but its more intuitive and doesn't impact system performance.

Paragon has much more flexibility to manipulate partitions and clone drives

• Paragon Hard Disk Manager makes creating regular incremental backups straightforward. The ease of configuring the software to automatically perform backup jobs increases the likelihood that we will follow through with our backup strategy, thus protecting our data.
• Any loss of important data would potentially be catastrophic to our business. Paragon Hard Disk Manager minimizes this risk.
• The software's ease of use also means we can focus more on our core business activities (and spend less time and effort on data backups).
