Minitab Statistical Software vs. smartocto

Teaching statistics to undergraduate and graduate students non-majors.

Teaching short courses in statistics for people from industry whose backgrounds are not statistics. They usually are not up to speed on coding and wants something that is easy to learn. Less appropriate for statistics majors or those developing statistical tools in a research environment.

Great for setting up MEL measurements for web based media. Great for use in media environments especially where there is no dedicated data analytics staff. Not sure how useful it would be for those sites that are not content focused.

• Historical data evaluation and decision making based on that data.

• Provides detailed stats on overall blog performance
• Shows which blog topics resonate with readers
• Measures individual blogs against key performance metrics

• This to be make financially affordable
• Direct feeding of data provision need to provided
• It must be update to handle large data.

• It has a lot of information and data all over the place. It took us some time to get used to it and get people properly onboarded. We have seen some improvement, but UX has more space to improve.

All the users at our site required training to be able to utilize Minitab in the different departments. It would be nice to have a user-friendly/basic user version for those who just need to view charts, data, etc

smartocto is a very user-friendly tool, with a smart & clean interface.

Whenever I have a technical question, Minitab Statistical Software has been prompt in answering my question and even provided references and examples.

Minitab Statistical Software is far easiest to use and also has more functionality than the others.

smartocto is much easier to use and is perfectly setup so that newsrooms can see the information they need in a quick and easy-to-use format.

• We could control our process and its continuous monitoring that reduce process failure chances.
• It helpful in database decision making process like rejection or acceptance of batch.
• Process is improved and productivity increased.
