Pilot.com vs. Total Expert

I think they are a great fit for any small business looking for bookkeeping and even some ap services. I like all the financial reporting they do, which is something I would struggle with on my own.

It is well suited to mass marketing and as a database. Also well suited to parsing the database into sub categories. I also like its ability to schedule marketing at specific times and days. It is not as well suited for listing print material. Listing meaning grabbing from MLS listings.

• Quick responses to questions submitted to support
• Integration with various banking systems and software, including HR systems and cap table system, which saves time when filing taxes

• Database
• Customer Service is pretty good
• Mass emailing

• I would say that only room for improvement would be to offer more educational opportunities that explain what the numbers mean.

• To create co-branded material without having to have realtor opt-in first
• Home flyers are difficult to use. List reports is much easier

Nobody else seemed to have the same capabilities and fit with our company culture as well. QuickBooks or Xero alone don't offer the same level of service and would require too much effort on our part. We used inDinero with my prior company and they just missed a lot of things that ended up causing problems.

Total Expert was chosen by management and for good reason. I didn't like Follow Up Boss because Total Expert was much more intuitive and also much more integrated with the other programs we use (Encompass, Rebel I Q, Sales Boomerang, etc). Its just a much better program overall than Follow Up Boss
