Priority Matrix vs. RedTeam Flex

If you're overwhelmed with too many things to do, and need help deciding which tasks to focus on, Priority Matrix is for you. Priority Matrix uses the classic Eisenhower matrix methodology which has been shown to be really effective for this purpose. Now you can use an app for that, instead of a piece of paper or Excel.

RedTeam does a good job of allowing the company to view information in a way that is helpful to them. The superintendents out in the field don't necessarily need to see all of the same information that the people in the office do, so field share has been great for helping them manage their projects and submit daily reports of job progress. I can see this program working for both small and large companies and with a few tweaks, I might rate it even higher.

• Reach inbox zero
• Reduce internal email messages

• Building a proper estimate/proposal
• Managing the project from start to finish, including any changes
• The accounting process works well with our quickbooks, making the process for accounting easy

• It works better if you're familiar with the Eisenhower matrix

• Inability to delete certain information such as old duplicate vendors, contacts, etc.
• I run into a lot of road blocks with obscure permissions
• Some reports have issues when printing

The focus of Priority Matrix is on prioritization. Other apps exist that do a fine job with task and project management, but none of them equal Priority Matrix in terms of focusing your attention on the right task. The 80/20 principle that people often talk about (80% of the results come from 20% of the inputs) is clearly visible when you use PM.

Procore is [a] product that we [are] familiar with as well because a few other companies that we have partnered with use Procore. The program is a good CPM, but RedTeam stands out to our company for the customer service. Over the years we have been able to communicate opportunities to make something more efficient and they have implemented some of those suggestions. That is invaluable to us.

• Less context switching due to having all the Microsoft integrations
• Having everyone work on the right task without need for frequent sync meetings
• Reaching inbox zero with peace of mind

• It has eliminated the need for hundreds of spreadsheets for each job and has saved time overall
• It allows all facets of the company to see information as they need to see it
• It's a central place for everyone to store and access information rather than having files all over individual computers.
