UniFocus Labor Management System (LMS) vs. Workday Workforce Management

For our uses, tracking payroll is all we do. The other features are not as user-friendly.

Workday is well suited as am employee because it allows me to easily access pay and goal-setting information at a large org. It also made the process of getting hired and initially onboarded simple. I imagine it could be less helpful at a smaller organization where people have more direct access to folks in payroll

• Collaborate with HR on completed tasks
• Review and Submit Timesheets for staff
• Submit personal time off for supervisors to review and approve or decline.

• It is difficult to find specific reports, you have to know the system and where to look.
• It might be nice to have a friendly tutorial for available operations.
• I like to add notes to my payroll, it would be nice if it was easier to print up those notes and see the entire note. Sometimes the note is cut off. It would also be nice if I had room to write more detailed notes.

• The tasks function is somewhat clunky, and its hard to see who the task is sent to next in order to follow up with them.
• In-process referrals don't always show up in the "My Referrals" tab
• Filters on tasks don't always work.

Workday Payroll and Workforce Management is a great resource, it makes the payroll process and HR functions simple. If implemented properly, there are well defined roles and it does much better than most payroll systems currently out there. The day to day functionality is very easy and pretty easy for time tracking, and teammates to view the systems.

• It has not affected our ROI, I've never used another system so I have nothing to which I can compare.

• More staff felt comfortable using Workday Payroll and Workforce Management to complete tasks
• Having a mobile app made it possible to submit or approve hours when you're on the go and not at your desk in front of a computer.
• Because of the mobile app, it made it easier for student worker to submit their time when they are at home.
