Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for earnings followups, executive intelligence requests, financial modeling, creating ppts. The business problem is that there is too much noise, and we need to parse entertainment from key intelligence. The scope ranges from competitor intelligence to new customer product strategy and expansion to new industries and verticals

  • Great at reflecting customer feedback in the product
  • Very agile sales and product teams that seem to be in great sync
  • Great at adding one new AI tools to transform the platform

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

AlphaSense helps centralize and summarize updates about customers and competitors/ peers. It saves a lot of time when we need to report on earnings, news, events and even new markets or opportunities that we need to familiarize with, quickly and objectively.

Cons

  • Have a more transparent and detail process to evaluate the security used to protect customer's proprietary data, so that each customer's IT team can evaluate and trust AlphaSense security implementation.
  • Related to security as well, until IT doesn't fully understand the security implemented, we won't be able tu maximize tools access like Microsoft plug-ins and connectors.
  • A lot of new features are being released and it's becoming difficult to follow both what is possible and how to do it. We appreciate the new features, but there should be a way to quickly ramp up on them.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use AlphaSense to create earning call dashboard for healthcare sectors. I also use it for searching reports on specific topics/themes.

Pros

  • The Generative Grid is really good platform for generating insights using AI
  • The Helpdesk is very responsive and helpful
  • User interface is great

Cons

  • It would be great to see some Agentic AI capabilities in AlphaSense in future that can execute standard research tasks
  • There could be some ‘plug-in’ features to link it with Excel for quantitative analysis
  • If AlphaSense can start sending a dossier on sector trends that would be incredibly useful!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my role I use AlphaSense for on-going monitoring of the competitive environment for the disease areas we focus on. The dashboards provide a quick and up-to-date view of the latest news from a plethora of sources that ensures most perspectives are covered. With the daily e-mails I am also reminded in a smooth way.

  • Easy set up of searches and monitoring alerts
  • Clear overview of what information is new

Cons

  • Management of dashboard in terms of marking information as read/not read
  • Adding possibility to tag information for internal dashboards
  • Availability of all information in just one subscription (no additional features as add-ons)
