Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Archie across desks, rooms, and also to register visitors at the front desk. It helps coordinate home and office days and ensures everyone can easily reserve space before coming in.

Pros

Easy desk booking via app or Teams
Outlook calendar sync by default
Some visibility into office usage, team attendance, etc.

Cons

More customizable reporting would turn Archie into be a proper workforce tool and not just a booking platform
Some admin setup takes time the first time you implement it

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for companies with hybrid work setups. Less relevant for fully remote or very small offices. The visitor part is applicable to all companies though.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our teams use Archie mainly to reserve desks and check who will be in the office on a given day. Different departments coordinate their in-office schedules using the platform.

Pros

Quick desk booking from the mobile app.
Filters for desk equipment like monitors or quiet areas.
Easy colleague search to see where teammates are sitting.

Cons

It would be helpful to quickly rebook the same desk used previously.
The desk map sometimes loads slowly early in the morning when many people are booking.

Likelihood to Recommend

Works well for organizations where people come to the office a few days per week and want to sit near their teams. Less useful if employees always have assigned seating.

We use Archie to track every guest that enters our tech hub. It handles the NDAs and notifies the host immediately via Teams/emails.

Pros

Automatic host notifications are instant.
Printing guest badges works every time.
The dashboard gives a clear audit trail for security.

Cons

The initial setup of the floor plan took some trial and error with the drag-and-drop tool.
I’d like more "kiosk" customization options for the landing screen, like images rotating screen saver style or just something more visual. This is just a nice to have obviosly but Envoy does it.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best for offices with high guest traffic or security requirements. Less appropriate if you don't have a physical lobby/reception area.

We primarily use it to manage our hybrid schedule. It helps us see who is coming in on which days so we don't exceed our capacity limits.

Pros

User groups are easy to manage
The "Find a Colleague" feature is a huge time saver
Very clean, modern UI that doesn't feel like "enterprise" software.

Cons

The reporting dashboard could be a bit more customizable for non-admins.
Notification settings can be a bit buried in the menus.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for mid-to-large teams that need to coordinate office days. Might be a bit much for a very small team in a single room.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for both desk hoteling and visitor sign in. It solves the issue of people showing up and not having a place to work, especially now that we downsized our physical footprint.

Pros

The live map view is super helpful for finding people.
Visitor check-in looks very professional on the iPad.
Integrates well with our Google Calendar.

Cons

I wish there were more options for different resources beyond offices, desks, rooms instead of listing the rest under "Resources".

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for hybrid offices where nobody has a permanent desk anymore. Less useful if your staff is 100% in-office with fixed seating, since you'd only use it for other spaces in that case.

The system is very good, but I am especially happy with how their team and our representative in particular have been helpful at all stages, from rolling out the tool to support when we needed it. I made our process of registering visitors a lot better!

Pros

They listen to us, their team is always updating the software and I feel like the feedback we share is actually heard.
Easy to learn and use, only the initial setup takes a bit of time, but after that it's super easy.
It can be connected to other software (like Microsoft) without much effort.
Pricing is fair and all the new features they introduced were part of our plan.

Cons

Not everything is customizable on the sign in steps (for instance certain text fields or buttons)

Likelihood to Recommend

We can easily sign in visitors when they arrive or register their visit in advance, notify those expecting them, and keep a log of everyone accessing the building. The system is great and very easy to use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Archie for managing desks, conference rooms and offices. Their system is easy to use and it's fully connected with microsoft so we can use it from there too. Overall I would say it fits our needs very well and personally I like their app.

Pros

You can customize the inventory in a lot of different ways
The floor plans are drag and drop, it still takes time to edit them but it's very easy
Managing user groups and what they can book is pretty straightforward

Cons

The mobile app is sleek in terms of design but usability is slightly below that of the web portal
Depending on the resource, booking by hour vs booking a full day requires an extra click

Likelihood to Recommend

Archie is great if you need to manage your entire office eg: how your team reserves a desk, how they book meeting rooms and so on. They don't sell any hardware so you'll have to get your own tablets if you need those for meeting rooms. I would say the experience is even better when embedded into teams/outlook.

We manage access, desks, rooms, and internal comms in our shared office. It's our main workspace platform now.

Pros

Very fast to get used to, everyone is using it. Even admins can learn it pretty fast
Works well on desktop and mobile, it's overall just an easy experience.

Cons

There are some limits to what you can customize
Some parts of the app are a bit rough around the edges

Likelihood to Recommend

Perfect fit for modern shared offices/coworking setups. Not needed if you only want a basic calendar or booking tool, as you'd be getting tons of other features on top that you don't need.

We use Archie for desk and room reservations. We have tablets outside of meeting rooms and use either that or the calendar integration to book.

Pros

Everything is synced to the calendar so we can book rooms from there
The floor plan view is helpful especially for desks
The mobile app is great, it's quick to do anything

Cons

There are minor bugs here and there, usually non-critical stuff, but something you'd still notice
I've been logged out of the mobile app multiple times

Likelihood to Recommend

Great either for offices with a lot of meeting spaces, not necessarily just conference room, but also offices or other spaces. Same thing for hybrid teams that need desk booking because of that.

We use Archie for managing different aspects of our memberships like billing, room bookings, and giving people tools to engage with their coworkers.

Pros

Self-serve desk and room booking
Lots of options to customize billing setting
Clear taskboard dashboard
Nice apps for mobile and tablet

Cons

No automated end user onboarding within the apps when you download one
The UI is simple and intuitive, but feels a bit dates in terms of design

Likelihood to Recommend

Perfect for medium/large coworking spaces. I think it can be a good option for any company that needs to book out resources or manage members, but, in my opinion, it is clearly built for office/workplace scenarios rather than other types of facilities.
