I am the content designer for Prince William County Fire and Rescue. Articulate 360 has completely changed the way that we develop and disseminate our training. We are now able to reach a more broad audience in a shorter amount of time. We went from old versions of PowerPoint to immersive, accessible, and interactive trainings because of Articulate 360. this is a product that I will recommend over and over again.
I have used Articulate 360 Rise, Review, and Storyline. I absolutely love all three and have never had a single issue with any of them. From development to corm packaging to data collection, this product is flawless. I will give this a shining review over and over again because it is absolutely the best program that I have ever used. I have been using Articulate 360 for about six years now and the continual growth and development and time and effort that the company puts into it exceeds my expectations every time.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Articulate 360 to create impactful, self led training to support various business needs – compliance training, role-based training, leadership training, professional development training, etc. Compared to our previous solution, which included primarily live trainings, Articulate allows us to deploy training much faster and with more interactivity than a recording.

Pros

  • Rise 360 is very easy to use and to pick up. Our team, upon implementing the tool, was able to quickly deploy several trainings that met several business needs that we were previously unsure how to meet.
  • Keeps courses consistent and on-brand through reusable templates, themes, colors, and interaction patterns.

Cons

  • More design options for Rise, it’s beginning to look very standard for every course, especially since we primarily use Rise 360. Some new templates for the way the course looks, that are more fresh and dynamic.
  • More options for micro-courses as well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We provide reliability engineering consulting services, so we build technical eLearning content for global manufacturing, mining, energy, and utility organizations. The use cases are for learners on the facilities floor who are generally unaccustomed to using computers, work on 24-hour shifts, need consistent messaging across the organization, and have varying levels of entry knowledge.

Pros

  • Each time I think of an idea for making the course more visually appealing or creative, Articulate 360 has already prepared the functionality.
  • The translation/localization feature is intuitive, fits our work flow, and works great.
  • The UI for Storyline and Rise are clear and intuitive.

Cons

  • Variables and triggers are very powerful. I'd like to see a list or other reference that outlines use cases for their more application.
  • We use the localization and translation feature often. I'd like to have the chance to coordinate with a vendor/resource to translate our courses' collateral documents.
  • Narration in Rise without having to press 'play' would be nice.

Return on Investment

  • We saved thousands of dollars, weeks of time, and untold headaches by performing translations in-house vs. our prior vendor.
  • I am able to build a pipeline of Articulate360 users in my organization since I can teach isolated skills easily in Rise and Storyline. That OJT is much more robust than them learning on their own and that will create seamlessness in 3 years and 119 days until I retire.

Building training for a company that has never had a L&D team. Making sure that the leaner has ease of navigation and that being on a new team brings value.

Cons

  • Making the blocks in Rise more customizable. Meaning I can make the blocks S M L but to be able to give pixels without having to go into the code.
  • Sharable files for lessons instead of the whole module. I need to be able to send pieces to team SMEs that only pertain to them. I don’t want them to have to navigate to where they should be looking. Current state is to download as a PDF and share.

  • Decrease training costs since everything can be built between rise and storyline.
  • Time saving, with the new AI integration I can import documents from SMEs to build courses.
  • Links can be shared for learners vis LMS or course links. I am excited that the new analytic tool will be able to capture the data needed.
