Contraction Organization at your finger tips

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This platform helps streamline productivity by keeping all the jobsite information in one location that can be accessed remotely. Builds to schedules and estimates. Gain approval for budgets from customers and request estimates from subs all in one area. Employees are able to clock in and check off to-dos from their phones. Different style access to the website and app allow supervisors to monitor employees involvement and production. The website is easy to use with a ton of resources for asking questions or figuring out how to achieve a task and if the task hasn’t been yet added, the creators are open to suggestions and always updating the tools of the platform.

Pros

  • Estimates
  • Schedules
  • Organization
  • Updating for new tools
  • Time clocks
  • To-dos check list
  • Monitoring production across the company

Cons

  • They are good at answering questions or offering other options.
  • I wish the calendar could be printed quicker for sharing with customer. It capable of doing month to month but a full project in a customer view would be better

Likelihood to Recommend

This is best for keeping jobsite organization to be able to be accessed remotely and for helping manage all aspects of the job from when subs submit quotes to when the sub locks in on a job and what was done during their time onsite. It also allows supervisors monitor project manager involvement on the platform and to be able to see berthing being adjusted along the progression of a job.

CF is worth the effort. Better company profile for sure.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Estimation creation, project tracking, and utilization of the client portal is the most important part of the program that we utilize. Having accurate estimates that are priced properly, being prepared and properly tracking the project, and having the customers remain informed during the entirety of the project is all addressed by using the project

Pros

  • Customer Support
  • Cost Item Database
  • Cost Tracking
  • Invoicing

Cons

  • User ability (moving sections on todos etc)
  • Service/ downtime
  • Invoicing percentages

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited: Reviewing the project progress at the weekly meeting. Each person left detailed daily logs that included pictures so we were able to identify work flow, potential mistakes, and properly plan for the next day. The to-dos are great for people on the job site. Less appropriate: Attempting to schedule everything. Project tasks are rather funky

Improve your work flow with Contractor Foreman

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My business has been using Contractor Foreman for just over

2 years now and it has help us manage our business processes better. It has simplified how we manage our projects all

the way from estimating to invoicing. We now have a much clearer view of where

all of our projects are at. Would recommend this especially if you are trying

to manage all of your workflow using spreadsheets.

Pros

  • Estimates
  • Project Management
  • Invoicing
  • Documenting of notes for a project

Cons

  • It can be quite manual at times
  • Lacks automation and linking into other systems
  • Recurring invoices would be good to have

Likelihood to Recommend

If you want to see all of your jobs and their statuses then CF is great. Estimates are easy to use and you can do an estimate in excel and upload via csv which helps us speed up the creation of it. If you need to have estimate and invoicing follow ups done automatically then this is an issue.

Contractor Foreman simplifies

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The three main items that I love Contractor Foreman are:

Bid board - We coordinate very simply our bid board, provide reports, and track the bids going out

Job Cost- Real time tracking on job costs. If I need to make a decision on a project, I know how much budget I have left.

Customer Support - If we have a bug, we can get on chat and someone is fixing the bug as we work. If it is a big bug it gets worked out by the IT dept very quickly.

Pros

  • Job Cost
  • Bid tracking
  • Customer Support

Cons

  • I don't know of anything. It is very user friendly. Simple to change names of tabs.

Likelihood to Recommend

It has a full program for the estimators, the PM, foreman, HR. It is great for a small to medium construction company.

CF for Architects

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a small architectural firm. We usually have 30-50 active projects ongoing. I am the project manager and I have been using CF for the past two years to manage information flow and create documents needed to keep the project moving.

Pros

  • Make all information on a project available to me on the go.
  • Customer support via chat is excellent.
  • Custom training sessions are available and extremely helpful

Cons

  • Sometimes changes to the way the platform displays or operates changes and slows me down as I need to relearn how to work on the platform.
  • Occasionally the widgets don't operate the way they should. Usually temporary problem.

Likelihood to Recommend

CF is probably more program than we need considering that we rarely manage projects past the point of permit issuance, but has the capacity to grow as we expand our involvement in projects moving forward.

Useful platform

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We implemented this software to improve the way we manage our projects, focusing on financial tracking, execution, billing, and purchase orders. Since its implementation, it has allowed us to maintain more precise control over our numbers and overall project performance. This tool has streamlined our internal processes, improved reporting accuracy, and provided better visibility of our project progress and financial status

Pros

  • Bills
  • Change orders
  • SOV

Cons

  • Estimates
  • Precision of decimal numbers
  • loading speed

Likelihood to Recommend

Contractor Foreman is well suited for managing small to medium construction projects, tracking finances, generating purchase orders, and monitoring project progress in real time. It is less appropriate for very large projects with complex structures, as loading times can increase and handling highly detailed data may become slower and less efficient

A good project management software solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Contractor Foreman is a capable and cost efficient project management solution that fits our medium sized commercial construction company well. We use it as a centralized communication center between the office and field. It works great to track daily logs, equipment service records, project schedules and documents.

Pros

  • Daily Logs
  • Company contact management
  • Basic project scheduling
  • Custom forms

Cons

  • Permit tracking has improved, but could still have improvements
  • Webpage speed

Likelihood to Recommend

Contractor Foreman provides good value for the cost and is best suited for a small to medium sized construction company. It has the capability to tie into our accounting system, but we haven't set that up yet, so don't have experience with how well it integrates.

Great Value Software Especially for a Smaller Company Like Ours

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a small construction company, Contractor Foreman is a relatively affordable platform that allows us to share photos, site logs and other important information with the various members of the team. It also has a great app so can be used by almost all the team on site, even those that are not particularly tech-savvy. I believe that the senior office team use it for cost management as well, and although that is not my department, the software allows us to communicate with them and share relevant information such as delivery notes etc.

Pros

  • The app is easy to use
  • Easy to upload photos and other documents
  • Site logs and day-to-day tracking
  • Clocking in and clocking out for employees

Cons

  • Photos are stored at low-resolution
  • Time tracking can be glitchy and has not let me clock-out
  • Adding contact to the directory on the website can be a bit clumsy

Likelihood to Recommend

It is easy to use and for a small company I am not aware of any software that offers so much functionality - they are usually far more limited. New features are often added and the customer support is good, although being based in the US can make it tricky sometimes due to the time difference.

Window Covering Wins

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Contractor Foreman to send estimates, finalize quotes, schedule installations and more

Pros

  • Creating estimates is easy
  • I really like the crew schedule
  • Service tickets help us

Cons

  • Not able to show sale discount without effecting accounting
  • Beta version is annoying it's like apple vs samsung but it is nice to have the option to switch based on personal preferences
  • letters are too small hard to read for older coworkers

Likelihood to Recommend

Having the chat function for technical support has been great. Having everyone connected on the same platform has helped system processes. Not possible to show a sale discount without effecting accounting which is an issue for clients who want to see they are getting a 'deal'.
