Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a small construction company, Contractor Foreman is a relatively affordable platform that allows us to share photos, site logs and other important information with the various members of the team. It also has a great app so can be used by almost all the team on site, even those that are not particularly tech-savvy. I believe that the senior office team use it for cost management as well, and although that is not my department, the software allows us to communicate with them and share relevant information such as delivery notes etc.

The app is easy to use
Easy to upload photos and other documents
Site logs and day-to-day tracking
Clocking in and clocking out for employees

Cons

Photos are stored at low-resolution
Time tracking can be glitchy and has not let me clock-out
Adding contact to the directory on the website can be a bit clumsy

Faster communication
Less costly mistakes
Transparency and less phone calls/emails as all information is readily accessible

Usability

The app, which is the most element on site, is just easy to use which on a construction site is critical as many workers don't have advanced IT skills. Drag and drop is used throughout, and information is shared across the different features so the need to double up the work is reduced.

It is easy to use and for a small company I am not aware of any software that offers so much functionality - they are usually far more limited. New features are often added and the customer support is good, although being based in the US can make it tricky sometimes due to the time difference.
