Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using Control-M for our business for the last 3 years, and now this software automatically syncs our bookings from the website and WhatsApp. The tool also helps us schedule daily tasks for staff in the office and ensures we can send follow-up reminders to customers every day.

Pros

The software manages our stock and sends an alert to our system whenever inventory is low.
Control-M helps us in generating automatic invoices everyday for our clients.
Control-M also helps us ensure who is doing what and that all jobs are assigned equally.

Cons

I mostly use it on my mobile device, and the navigation is a little Complex and not beginner-friendly.
During initial setup, the software will require a guided configuration to function properly.
Plug and play integrations are little difficult to execute.

In my opinion, Control-M software by BMC has been a great tool for our business, as it has reduced human errors and automated repetitive tasks. It also provided a central dashboard where we can monitor everything related to our data and reports.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a product manager at Tata cliq , I use Control-M as a core backbone for managing and automating the critical business operation accross all our e-commerce system. Control-M connects me with inventory systems, order pipelines and supply chain process it gives me an end to end information on daily basis where I can easily rely in and take future decisions.

Control-M is great for managing the big operations from background it handles all the files system datas and make very precise interpretation which helps me to take better decisions for my company. From a product to business perspective Control-M simplifies the supply chain by automating repetitive tasks. There are various companies which are small and their tasks are fixed so there it might not be used as it is used by us in our Tata cliq.

Automate business processes and workflows across a variety of systems, both on-prem and off, as well as interact with services and other third party tools. It allows us to get the single pane of glass vision across processes that are critical to the business. It also allows us to integrate with existing systems and vendors without having to reinvent the wheel or spend developer time having to write custom code.

Integration with DevOps toolsets and practices
Ability to manage and monitor workflows that span multiple systems
Ability to audit and track changes to workflows for compliance

Cons

Application Integrator should be redesigned as more of a studio/dev environment
Need to add the ability to "on demand" or "free form" file transfers - get away from the profile concept for that, or at least make it optional.

Likelihood to Recommend

Anytime you have a process that has to do multiple things, transfer data, interact with other systems, Control-M is critical. Not only does it provide the insight to what is going on, but it also lets you keep tight audit controls over access, reduces the need to spend large amounts of time tracking down issues, reduces the need to write custom "code" to do integrations with other systems and helps you better manage and track critical SLAs for workflows across the business.
