Cursor is a keeper

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a non-technical founder, I want to produce a webapp prototype without learning how to code. Cursor allows me to do that. I use it to build a webapp without writing a single line of code. Cursor suggests step-by-step instructions on setting up the development environment, deployment mechanism, file structure, and database.

Pros

  • Generate code
  • Guide webapp development
  • Guide webapp deployment

Cons

  • Very complex user interface
  • As it generate codes for additional features, it sometimes affects existing funtions
  • Black interface hard to read

Return on Investment

  • Allow me to build a basic prototype with hiring a developer

Cursor, the go-to IDE

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cursor increased our development speed by at least 25%. We were already used to Visual Studio Code, so it was a smooth transition that made us save a lot of time by incorporating great LLM models inside the IDE. We were able to create incredible stuff in record time by using the Composer tool of the App Cursor, too.

Pros

  • state-of-art IDE
  • Best LLMs one click away
  • Code suggestions very easy to use

Cons

  • The composer tool can still get more accurate
  • More LLM models
  • automate the creation of folders and files in a project

Return on Investment

  • Development speed increased at least 25%
  • The result of the final Product is better than before/without it
  • We use it as a standard now
