With DemandTools you have peace of mind.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Pros
- It is particularly easy to modify records because DemandTools allows for various ways to define the modification, either from field to field, a specified value, a formula, or field aggregation.
- DemandTools has robust filtering features that let you drill down into the records you want to work with using a combination of criteria.
- It is possible to choose Bulk API for large jobs to save time and resources.
- It allows you to preview the changes you want to make before you run the job.
- DemandTools automatically records logs and provides detailed summaries after each job, including errors and successful records.
Cons
- It would be helpful to be able to have OR in addition to AND when it comes to Record Selection Criteria for Modifying records. It currently only allows for AND.
- I recently got notifications that my laptop was running out of storage space, and one of the large files at the top of the list was DemandTools logs. It would be helpful to have a job that automatically deletes older logs to free some space.
Return on Investment
- We are a nonprofit organization, so ROI is not a good measure of DemandTools' impact, but I can tell you that we depend heavily on our donors' trust, and that trust comes from the quality of our data. The cleaner the data, the higher the trust. It does not matter if the data is showing glorious numbers, but only that it is kept neat, organized, and in the right places. Using DemandTools, strive to keep our data quality as high as humanly possible.
