In my opinion, Do not Choose Filevine
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Filevine allows us to keep and organize client information directly in its CRM.
Pros
- Document management
Cons
- Reporting- it's missing the ability to pull information needed for law firms to properly evaluate performance, and the information that is available can be difficult to put together in a report.
- Time keeping- it does not allow variables by user and must be set by teams, and then you cannot set minimum time increments differently by user or by project/ case.
- Support- the live support allows easy access, but, in my experience, their ability to solve problems is hit and miss, and when live support cannot find the answer, expect to wait many days and often weeks before getting an answer, and then sometimes you still do not get one.
Likelihood to Recommend
Filevine is good at managing documents, and that the time we started using it, had the most robust offering for a legal CRM, making it worthwhile despite some weak points and failure to make simple, easy corrections to have features virtually every other CRM has. However, I think other CRMs which are much more user-friendly have now caught up, and offer better solutions and are more responsive to users. Filevine allows you to submit suggestions for changes, but, in my experience, most will not be made, even when many users ask for the change.
