Overall Satisfaction with Filevine

Filevine enables my firm to process all the client materials in any given case. This helps make sure all our documentation is centralized and standardized. We use this software for each of our clients and utilize pretty much every feature that Filevine offers. We would quite literally not be able to function without this program.

Pros

  • Centralizes documentation
  • Easily sorts/filters information
  • Creates a clear record for each case file
  • enables multiple firms to work on the same client/case

Cons

  • Would be nice to see AI incorporated somehow here.
  • A feature to email documents into Filevine case files
  • Document viewer could be improved
  • Made my life and my coworker's lives much more simple
  • easy technical support that makes my firm feel like Filevine genuinely cares about clients
  • Made me more focused on details
Filevine is pretty user friendly. The interface looks good and it is relatively easy to navigate. I would identify as someone who is pretty tech savvy but for someone who isn't so experienced, Filevine is still very usable. Rarely do I come across an issue that I cannot find some alternate work around.
I have previously used LegalServer, which I felt was not as easy/user friendly as Filevine has been. The layout was a lot more technical looking and it was much more difficult to navigate through the case files. The one major thing I will say that I liked more about LegalServer was the function to email documents to a case file email and those would automatically upload to the file.

Do you think Filevine delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Filevine's feature set?

Yes

Did Filevine live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Filevine go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Filevine again?

Yes

Filevine is well suited for a firm that manages all of its case files. The main downside I would say is that it is not always entirely clear which person in the firm is making the additions or uploading the documents into the case files. This makes it more difficult to assess when errors were made and by whom.
