Business Problems Solved

Genbook is widely used by businesses as an online booking system, allowing users to link their website to their available calendar of appointments. Users appreciate the built-in review feature and automatic confirmation emails and text notifications. The software is easy to set up with a simple layout, providing users with text and email reminders for appointments. This not only helps users manage their time effectively but also takes away the hassle of answering phones and scheduling appointments manually.

One of the standout features of Genbook is that it gives users total control of their business both online and offline. It is web-based, allowing for multiple users with restricted access to each specific account. This enables companies to easily schedule appointments online and on social media platforms, reducing the number of incoming calls for appointment booking.

In addition to being a virtual booking platform, Genbook also serves as in-house booking software and customer database. Users have been relying on Genbook for managing appointments for many years, freeing up their time to focus on serving their clients. Moreover, Genbook has shown receptiveness to user feedback and has made adjustments to its software over time to better meet the needs of businesses.

I used Genbook for my appointments (Spa) it was easy for my clients to use and easy to set up a simple layout, text, and email reminders. I loved having total control of my business on and offline. I didn't have a bunch of junk on it. I knew what my business was doing at all times

Pros

 • Text reminders
 • No double booking of appoints
 • Easy to use
 • Total control

Cons

 • It had all that I need to run my business
 • I really cant think of anything
 • It was well round for an online system

I never had to reach out for any help with the system, there was really good information on how to use Genbook. Any time a new feature was out, the how-to video was right there with it. I hate that Genbook merged with Booksy, I've had nothing but issues with Booksy, There's no customer service at all, on any forms of communication if you need help with Booksy.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Genbook as my online booking system. Clients link through my website from a Book Now button to my available calendar of appointments. I love the built-in review feature and automatic confirmation emails and text notifications. This is a very robust app for the investment!

Pros

 • Review feature
 • Confirmation emails to clients
 • Flexibility with scheduling hours for staff

Cons

 • Integration with MailChimp for importing client data directly instead of exporting through Excel.

Great for solo-preneurs! Genbook is like an automated admin assistant! Great for seeing my entire weekly schedule laid out. I use the back end calendar instead of Google Calendar.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am a sole proprietor and I use Genbook within my practice to schedule all clients. Genbook manufactured time for me. It took away the hassle of answering phones and scheduling. Time management.

Pros

 • Manufactured time for my more essential job duties as owner
 • It requires a credit card for all scheduling. Takes away the whole ask awkwardness.
 • Sifts out the not so serious purveyors of massage and keeps those that are.
 • Provides gift certificate purchase in increments or whole amounts. Saves me time.

Cons

 • Incorporating Square payment
 • Incorporating a one general automatic message to all your clients, with emails or text
 • Marketing backdrops for emails to clients, to encourage rebooking

Genbook is perfect for a sole proprietor or any size of business, all the way up to several employees or team members. I cannot think of any examples where Genbook would not work.

The software is being used by my company. We use it for scheduling. Genbook has been very receptive to requests we have made regarding software adjustments over time. They have added some nice features over the last couple of years.

Pros

 • Scheduling
 • Appointment reminders
 • Updates via email

Cons

 • The end user’s (the customer's online booking view) is cumbersome and not very appealing in appearance.
 • Email to your book of business via Genbook is missing.

Great for online booking. It would be great to be able to have more space for service descriptions. It would be great to add photos in descriptions. It would be great to be able to attach files for individual customer services so the customer can print them off or read them online.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, I use Genbook to Service the one remaining doctor I work for, who is a Naturopathic Provider.

In the past, I used Genbook to service an Alternative Healthcare facility with about ten employees, and we had about five on the platform at one time.

Not everyone in the organization chose to use Genbook, but that was for reasons such as payment to the doctor who owed the facility, and they already had a stand-alone booking system that they wanted to use.

We really liked that the product was web-based and the fact that you can have multiple users, but restrict access to each specific account.

Our practice enjoyed the virtual booking aspect- this really helped limit the number of incoming calls for booking appointments.

Pros

 • Schedule modification: any way you need to set up your schedule, Genbook allows for the best flexibility. You can customize it to your practice and then each individual practitioner.
 • Multiple users- this is really great because you can even pull reports on the entire practice or per each user.
 • Reminders- Appointment reminders.

Cons

 • Specific Reporting

Likelihood to Recommend

I really think that Genbook would be suited for any type of practice- the rates changed based on the number of users.

We used it in a pretty small practice although I fell like it is a very scaleable program.

It's a really valuable resource for a practice with multiple doctors/ multiple workers.
