Admob? if you are a small app developer, stay away!

I am a small independent software developer, have several apps in the Apple App Store. I started using Google AdMob to monetize my app. It was the "biggest" supposedly and I was a newbie at this. The app ran fine for a while then Google kept suspending my da account without explaination. To this day I have no idea why they did that, they offer no support, no explanation, just direct you to read web pages that tell exactly nothing. I finally closed the account in frustration. They keep sending emails to me saying "there is money on your account". There is no way to login at all there is no support at all, you can never talk to a live person @Google from my experience, just some machine that refuses to talk to you I feel. I switched to another ad network and doing fine now. From my experience, stay away from Google AdMob!!!

  • I have money earned on my AdSense account. Since they deleted my login, I have no way to get to it. They warn me in email that the money is there, but there is no way to log in and there is no support whatsoever I feel.

Since we have an app, I can get revenue from Google using Google Admob. Here, I can make money by showing relevant Google ads in my app, thus getting paid for it. It is highly recommended since the Admob app gives us valuable insights to improve our earnings without any extra effort.

We use Google AdMob to provide ads for our Android and iOS apps. We wanted an ad mediation solution that was unobtrusive to, and respectful of our customers, but that would also provide us with a consistent revenue stream. Google AdMob has delivered that to us, and was easy to implement with its excellent, well documented APIs.

Google AdMob is the best choice when you are new to monetizing your Android or iOS app. It is the simplest to integrate, and will provide ads that will not negatively impact your users, assuming you follow their guidelines, of course. Revenue from ads is steady and consistent, and although not earth shattering for small apps, is will consistently grow as your app's userbase grows.

I have been using Admob for Mobile application monetization for more than 8 years. As of now, there are many application monetization companies like Facebook, Inmobi, etc. But AdMob gives the best eCPM and CPC. I have recommended others to use AdMob solely because of that reason. Also for the Android app, the SDK has very good support.

It is a draft approach for promoting our instrument. To build up a technical applications in android and ios phones. And then set up the advertisement for creating revenue. However, it does not work so far, and need to consider another approach for official approval from the team. We can not apply this time but Google AdMob is a great tool to apply and understand.

If you already have an apps in the android and iOS environment. And then you want to add advertisement for gaining money through various advertisement type. (Banner, full page ad. And reword ad. Etc.) I think Goole AdMob is a great tool for setting that easily and makes money easily. It works well and is easy to use. One more thing if you're familiar with javascript, it's a really good chance for you.

I use AdMob in my second job as a small business owner. The reason I would highly recommend using AdMob is that its interface had different types of advertisements which can make the ads fit the app interface and make it user-friendly. I have also used it to advertise my small business and it has been pretty successful for me during those times.

It is extremely well suited for those that develop apps and are interested in promoting them and monetizing them too, particular in companies that are already confident with their apps functionality. Because the scenario where Google AdMob is less appropriate is when your app is still in an early stage, and you'll definitely get it noticed by using Google AdMob, but if the users download your app and it still has glitches, you lost user confidence and it will be very hard to regain it.

We are using AdMob for advertising purposes on our mobile games on mobile platforms namely Apple and Google Play and a few others.

Pros

  • Admob provides a good quality inventory for advertising on mobile apps.
  • Admob provides many options for advertising: banners, interstitials, reward video ads.
  • Admob provides good reporting and analytics.

Cons

  • Admob has very low prices for impressions or clicks on Android.
  • Admob has very low prices for impressions or clicks in many countries including Europe.
  • Admob is still having certain security issues: allowing sensitive ads on G rated apps.
  • Admob allows multiple-choice banners on G-rated apps while this is not allowed by policy.

Likelihood to Recommend

AdMob is suited well for mobile app advertising on Android for Google Play and Apple. AdMob is not very well suited for alternative Android markets. AdMob interstitials and reward video ads are much more efficient than banners.
