Robust but maybe too much

Rating: 3 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using HubSpot as a CRM and email marketing system, I was in charge of automations, email marketing, database management and client management. We needed an extended database for our custom fields but also automations to segment and email different groups according to their interaction with the brand. Our main need was to keep everything centralized and at the same time in a robust platform that could grow with us.

Pros

  • Extended CRM
  • Automations
  • Attribution

Cons

  • UI/UX is complex
  • It is robust but maybe too robust for most cases
  • Expensive

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe it works well on high volume and where an extremely robust tool is essential but also where there is at least one dedicated person to understand and use the tool to its potential. It has a huge learning curve and it's quite complex to use. At times I feel like it's too robust, therefore becoming too complex for most uses.

HubSpot Marketing Hub - only martech Id die on a hill to keep

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's our classic CRM system. We use it to track all prospects and deals. Build dashboards and pipeline reports. On the marketing side, we use it to run email campaigns, post on social, and build target account lists. We also leverage it for events, web forms, and landing pages. It's our wholistic system for aligning sales and marketing.

Pros

  • Running email campaigns is really easy. Using segments, email templates, it's turnkey.
  • It's a great way to build target account lists and track progress with sales
  • It's a great tool for building reports and dashboards for senior leadership

Cons

  • The AI suggestions have improved, but I think it could be more custom
  • I wish there was better reporting for social. It's not as robust as other platforms.

Likelihood to Recommend

I've been in marketing for 10 years and it's the best combination of usability and capabilities. Not too difficult but it still is robust.

The best Marketing CRM

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HubSpot Marketing Hub to facilitate the majority of our Marketing activities. We use it for our CRM, for emails, landing pages, as a content hub, for automated workflows, and for our reporting. It is connected to our SalesForce instance for more in-depth Marketing reporting. We were looking for a one-stop shop tool that was intuitive and easy to use. By having all of our Marketing data in one place, we are better able to track our impact and ROI.

Pros

  • Reporting / Dashboards: It is easy to set up different reports to track impact. The platform surfaces relevant way that is easy to understand and actionable.
  • Workflows: Workflows are easy to set up and edit on the fly. A specific use case we love is that you can create email nurture programs, set them live, and then edit the workflow without pausing it (i.e. if all of your content is not ready at the same time).
  • Email and Landing Page Creation: Editing and creating emails and landing pages with drag and drop functionality.

Cons

  • Influenced and Sourced Pipeline reports could be easier to set up
  • Creation of "calculators" for landing pages (i.e. showing a prospect the ROI of using our product after then input information into a few fields)

Likelihood to Recommend

Our team is super lean, and HubSpot Marketing Hub allows us to spin up new campaigns quickly and efficiently. Our team's productivity has increased since onboarding onto the platform. That being said, for small teams with smaller budgets, the platform may be too expensive. When used in partnership with the Sales Hub, reporting is easy to set up and Marketing impact is easy to track. When integrated with Salesforce, reporting is not as intuitive and requires a bit of back and forth between platforms, but still provides good insights.

HubSpot Marketing Hub Review

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HubSpot Marketing Hub to maintain all our marketing campaigns and sales tasks under one roof. From running a marketing campaign and automating it to nurturing leads through email marketing, everything in the realm of sales and marketing fields can be managed here. The prime problem this tool solves is the scattered workflow. Before HubSpot, our organisation struggled with juggling multiple platforms to tackle multiple tasks, but now everything can be completed more efficiently and effectively.

Pros

  • Personalised email management - It is super easy to create custom emails based on user actions which allows us to personalise our email marketing strategy
  • CRM Integration - This feature allows us to maintain a good alignment with both marketing and sales aspect of the organisation
  • Landing page builder - It is very easy to create a professional looking landing page with the drag and drop feature

Cons

  • Price - While some features are free to use, some of them needs premium subscriptions which can be expensive for small to medium organizations
  • Limited customization - The options of customization are good at a basic level but if we need something more complex there are no options to customize our layouts or designs
  • Learning curve - With numerous features, this platform might be overwhelming to a beginner. So, one might need to spend a good time learning how to use the features in this platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

HubSpot works really well for medium to large organisations in maintaining their marketing capabalities combined with some parts of sales. For example, one can create landing pages for paid marketing campaigns and use email automation features for email marketing and CRM integration for nurturing sales leads. Whereas for small organizations where there might be limited budget, HubSpot is less appropriate. The features might be a bit more for low budget campaigns or marketing strategies. Using this can add up to their costs and make it really a less appropriate tool to use.

A Versatile and Essential Tool for Growing Businesses

Rating: 10 out of 10

Pros

  • Blog
  • Lead Nurture/Workflow
  • Activity on Contacts

Cons

  • It would be amazing if GA4 integrated for more advanced reporting across the whole website and blog
  • Clarity on different packages, must speak to someone to know what features are available within the different levels and be quoted to unlock features
  • Scheduling on social media calendar through their native tool should be easier and less clicks to do so across different channels.

Likelihood to Recommend

I highly recommend HubSpot for its ability to track clients, streamline communications, and manage marketing activities seamlessly.

User friendly marketing tool with automation but can be a bit cheaper

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HubSpot Marketing Hub for lead generation, email marketing, and also automation. It is helping us in nurturing leads, tracking engagement, and personalizing campaigns. The biggest problems it solves are scattered customer data and improve workflows. It streamline marketing efforts,& improve conversion rates. Our use case spans content marketing, social media scheduling, giving us clear insights to optimize performance and grow our customer base efficiently.

Pros

  • Sends personalized emails and follow-ups based on user actions
  • racks customer interactions and segments audiences
  • Gives clear insights into campaign performance

Cons

  • reporting dashboard lacks deep customization options
  • expensive for larger contact base
  • not much useful for complex workflows

Likelihood to Recommend

HubSpot Marketing Hub is great for a business that need automated lead nurturing, marketing, and CRM integration. We can track user behaviour and trigger personalized email sequences as well. However, it’s less ideal for highly complex enterprise-level marketing where deep customization is required. Cost too becomes too high if you need to send larger campaigns.

The Only Platform for Marketing if you want to Grow

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At Salted Stone, HubSpot enables us to create highly targeted lead generation campaigns using landing pages, forms, and CTAs which has been a keen element of driving growth and revenue. Through CRM integration, we bridge gap between our marketing and sales teams, ensuring seamless lead handoffs and improved revenue attribution. Personalisation is critical today in getting our message to market and as such, we use dynamic content, smart CTAs, and email personalisation in HubSpot to enhance customer interactions and make every touchpoint feel relevant.

Pros

  • Lifecycle stage tracking which allows our teams to tailor communication and engagement based on where a contact is at any point of the Buyer Journey
  • Data is king! HubSpot's automated A/B testing and analytics help us optimise email campaigns and landing pages for higher engagement.
  • We know what is working and what is not - attribution reporting ensures we can track ROI and make data-backed marketing decisions in real-time

Cons

  • Social Media Management – although you can schedule and manage social posts there are more advanced AI platforms that add intel and insights.
  • Removing landing pages from Marketing Hub and putting them in the new Content Hub has been a challenge as you need assets for all campaigns you run
  • Enterprise v Professional level Marketing Hub is a big price jump but the added features and benefits don't align

Likelihood to Recommend

Although Marketing Hub has options for all businesses from small to enterprise I think the product is best suited to mid market and above. There are so many features built in, including AI that are often not used or under utilised by smaller players which when compared with other, lower cost competitors the value proposition reduces. Businesses with a growth mindset and commitment to invest in growth would benefit most from Marketing Hub
